A Hidden Gem in Bali – Unforgettable Sushi & Teppanyaki Experience at Kizuna
Kizuna Teppanyaki Japanese Restaurant in Bali is hands-down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had on the island. If you’re searching for fresh sushi in Bali or an authentic Japanese teppanyaki experience near Kuta Selatan, look no further.
The staff at Kizuna are incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming — they truly go above and beyond to make every guest feel at home. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, a family, or with kids, the warm hospitality makes this spot perfect for any occasion.
Now for the star: the food. The sushi was unbelievably fresh, beautifully cut, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was better than the last. What truly impressed me was the creative presentation – one of the chef’s special sushi rolls was designed to look like an actual dragon! The attention to detail in both the flavor and the plating was world-class.
Beyond sushi, the teppanyaki grill experience is a must. Watching the chefs skillfully prepare your meal right in front of you adds excitement and entertainment to the dining experience.
Highly recommend for: – Romantic date nights – Family dinners – Fun and educational meals with kids – Anyone craving top-quality Japanese food in Bali

Read moreThe outdoor seating infront of Kizuna lured Mrs E and her ducklings into this lively Japanese izakaya style restaurant within the Bali Collection enclave.
The menu offered izakaya staples with the family choosing Chicken Katsu Curry, Chicken Teriyaki Don, salmon maki, Age Dashi Tofu & Seafood Okonomiyaki. The first two dishes went down well, with the kids finishing up everything, but the tofu and Okonomiyaki were both disappointing. The batter on the tofu was congealed and sticky, though the sauce and bonito flakes were tasty.
The Okonomiyaki was presented well but on digging in it was tough and rubbery, perhaps having been pre-made or from a frozen packet. Mrs E had to give up on the dish and bought a Cadbury Dairy Milk from the convenience store on the way home to cheer herself up.
So much going for this place, ideal location, appealing menu, and cheerful staff - with more emphasis on freshly made dishes this could inch up to a 4 or 5 star.

Read moreVery mediocre food with slow service. Have to play charades with the staff as their English is extremely basic. We were very patient yet still had to prompt them numerous times for menus, for plates, and to order. For whatever reason (I think I know why) they know the word 'sorry' very well though and were apologetic about the wait, and then forgetting one of our meals. Thankfully they compensated us accordingly.
The food was not worth the wait or hassle though. The ingredients were obviously not fresh or well prepared. There were numerous bones in the salmon sushi, and bones in the chicken karaage. Be careful if eating here. I think they are well aware they're letting customers down. But despite the friendly and apologetic staff that were good intentioned, I still don't recommend it. There is another much better Japanese...
