Mediocre at best, I'm a little confused by all the positive reviews and must assume perhaps the reviewers haven't been to many Indian restaurants... I'm really sorry to write such a review for what could have been a great experience. I was really looking forward to a quality Indian. First off, the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken dishes were on point. They were excellent and hence why I'm not giving 1 star. The lamb skewers arrived cold, and there were bits of hard ground bone between my teeth on more than one occasion. It was spicy but a disappointment. Usually it's a popular dish at every Indian I go to, 4 skewers between 5 of us and we didn't finish it... I think the meat content was very low. Avoid. The Saag dish was a MASSIVE disappointment. I requested medium-hot, yet it was so bland! I am not Indian, I can't eat hot food... when I say it was bland I mean ZERO flavour. Not an Indian Curry by any sense of the word. I must admit the quality of the meat in this dish was good, it was tender, however the dish itself, the actual curry was a blended soup, the waiter and manager both explained to me proudly how it's blended. To the point that it has no texture. I got the impression it came out of a can. No refund for this disappointment, a little poor quality vanilla ice cream was offered instead. Chicken Korma, what a joke. It was on the kids menu, and it was also ordered as a main dish. It was horrendous. I'm sorry to say, it was absolutely disgusting. No flavour, completely bland. Two people left hungry. When discussing with the manager he explained how they get many tourists who can't handle hot food šŸ˜‚. I mean that's fine but when you ask for a medium-hot dish then you expect a bit of spice? Anyway, 2 stars for the 2/5 good dishes, and the friendly service, the free ice-cream was not only poor quality, but poor service. If you serve poor food then the customer shouldn't pay for it. I paid for it, and here is my review. I cannot recommend this restaurant, and if you do go, order the safe dishes above. Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken. Yes, they charge extra for rice lol. This is a Tourist place, not a place you would go to if it was your local Indian restaurant.

A Truly Delightful Dining Experience! From the moment we walked into this charming restaurant, we were welcomed with warm smiles and attentive service. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, perfect for both a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, and every single one we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The ingredients were clearly fresh and high-quality, and you could tell the chefs put great care into each plate. I highly recommend the Dal Makhani. But what truly made the evening special was our waitress Eka. She was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive from start to finish. She greeted us with a warm smile, explained the menu with great enthusiasm, and made perfect recommendations based on our preferences. It felt like she genuinely cared about our experience, and her positive energy added so much to the atmosphere. Thanks to her, everything ran smoothly, and we felt truly welcomed. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I will definitely be returning soon and recommending this place to everyone I know. Five stars all around!

I was in Nusa Dua and suddenly made plan to visit this Indian restaurant which was nearby to me at that time. First of all, the ambience, structure and the interior of this restaurant attracted me very much. I had an exclusive fine dining there. The tastes of the Indian cuisines were sooo yummy andĀ  authenticĀ  which I enjoyed very much. The staffs were professional as well as friendly. They served us from the point I entered there till the very last moment. The whole place made me to feelĀ  special guest to them. Special thanks to Mr. Sanchit Malik (Senior Professional/Head) with whom I had a long conversation about many things in India and Bali and felt more comfortable and also I was very much impressed with his courtesy and gratitude towards us. After I finished dinner, it was a great pleasure for me to be able to meet and talk to the owner of the Royal Kitchen Bali. Also I got a packed box ofĀ  delicious Ras malai from their side as thanks which I enjoyed at my home. PS: If anyone wants to have a fine dining of Indian cuisine , then this place is a must visitĀ  and highly recommended.

For an exceptional Indian dining experience in Sanur, look no further than The Royal Kitchen Sanur Indian Restaurant & Bar. From the moment you step inside, the rich, aromatic spices envelop you, promising a memorable culinary journey.

The ambiance is both elegant and welcoming, with traditional Indian decor creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for any occasion. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that every need is met with a warm smile and prompt service.

The menu at The Royal Kitchen Sanur is a celebration of India's diverse culinary traditions. Whether you're craving the fiery flavors of Southern India or the rich, creamy dishes of the North, there is something to delight every palate.

Start your meal with the vegetable samosas, which are perfectly crisp on the outside and filled with a deliciously spiced mixture of potatoes and peas. The tandoori chicken, marinated in yogurt and a blend of spices before being cooked to perfection in a clay oven, is tender and full of flavor.

For the main course, the butter chicken is a must-try. The chicken is succulent, and the sauce, a luxurious blend of tomatoes, butter, and cream with just the right amount of spice, is divine. Pair it with their freshly baked naan bread, which is soft, fluffy, and perfect for soaking up every last drop of the delectable sauce.

Vegetarians will find plenty of delightful options as well. The paneer tikka masala is a standout, featuring cubes of paneer cheese simmered in a rich, flavorful tomato-based sauce. The dal makhani, a variety of lentil dishes, is hearty and satisfying, making it a great choice for vegetarians and meat-lovers alike.

No visit to The Royal Kitchen Sanur would be complete without indulging in their desserts. The gulab jamun, deep-fried dough balls soaked in sweet syrup, are a perfect way to end your meal. If you're looking for something lighter, the mango lassi, a refreshing yogurt-based drink, is both delicious and refreshing.

In addition to the outstanding food, The Royal Kitchen Sanur also boasts a well-curated selection of Indian beers and wines, perfectly complementing the flavors of their dishes.

Overall, The Royal Kitchen Sanur Indian Restaurant & Bar offers an unparalleled dining experience that will delight anyone with a love for Indian cuisine. Whether you're a seasoned aficionado or new to Indian food, this restaurant is sure to become a favorite. Highly...

Disappointing Experience – Overhyped and Underwhelming

Apart from the good location and nice ambience, everything else at The Royal Kitchen falls flat. It seems to be one of those overhyped places that survives purely on appearance rather than quality.

I had dinner here one evening, and the experience was very average. The food was a big letdown – the paneer curry was just so-so, the ā€œsaffron riceā€ had no trace of saffron and looked like plain turmeric rice, the naan was undercooked, and the roomali roti was as dry and crisp as a papad – probably because the order took forever to arrive.

Initially, I assumed the delay in service was due to the weekend rush. But I returned on a weekday evening for a quick bite – just 2 teas, papdi chaat, and 2 samosas – and even then, it took a shocking 45 minutes. The place barely had 2-3 other guests, so there was no excuse for the delay.

When I politely asked the staff if I could cancel the order due to time constraints, the response was unexpectedly rude. The lady snapped back saying it was already being cooked and I had to wait – no apology, no courtesy.

The outdoor seating area is infested with mosquitoes too. They do provide mosquito repellent spray, but only if you ask for it.

Overall, the service is painfully slow, staff attitude needs a serious improvement, and the food isn’t worth the price at all. Can’t recommend this place, and definitely not...
