Update one year after last review (see below). Is it wrong to plan your entire holiday overseas around a single cafe? That’s what I kind of did, and now that I’m home again all I want to do is get back there. I just love everything about Kafe. We had countless glorious meals and perfect drinks on our last trip to Bali this past January (2025). If you care about health, and you are a food lover, plus you appreciate beautiful environments and lovely service, you will surely love this place too. Ps - their home delivery is exceptional also. One trip to Kafe a day is often not enough for me so I also made the most of their excellent, efficient delivery service. They would even deliver their chai in a thermos and pour it for me upon arrival so that it was perfectly hot.
Love you Kafe - thanks for being more than just a cafe, you’re a healing, special place that is making a positive difference in the world one beautiful, healing meal and smiling human at a time.
Original review posted Jan 2024: Love this cafe. Been coming for years and it just gets better and better. What has really stood out to me this trip to Ubud is how genuinely joyful the staff seem, and how much fun and playfulness they bring to their work. They all treated each other well, and kindly, and looked like a happy family (all the while being very attentive and responsive to customers). We got some of our quickest service in Bali here too. Just a lovely atmosphere and one I could spend hours in every day. In my opinion, people who have reviewed it negatively don’t get this place - its health food made delicious. With a lovely, bohemian, artistic, spiritual vibe too. Side note to chai lovers - the chai here is great. No added sugar/sweetener either if like me you’re avoiding (although of course it is offered if you want it). Management must be amazing because I can’t fault this place on a single thing. I just hope they...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kafe and was blown away by the ambiance. The restaurant has a cozy, relaxed vibe that made me feel right at home. The decor is warm and inviting, with comfortable seating and plenty of natural light. Whether you're dining alone or with friends, Kafe is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal.
Speaking of meals, the menu at Kafe is fantastic! They offer a wide variety of options, including plenty of vegan dishes, which was a big plus for me. I tried several different dishes, and they were all fantastic. The flavors were bold and delicious, and the portions were generous.
Despite the high quality of the food and the lovely ambiance, Kafe manages to keep its prices very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable the menu was, given the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience.
Lastly, I have to give a shoutout to the staff members at Kafe. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in the door. They took the time to explain the menu and make recommendations, and they checked in frequently throughout my meal to ensure that everything was to my liking. Their hospitality made my dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, I highly recommend Kafe to anyone visiting Ubud. The ambience, menu options, prices, and staff all make for an exceptional dining experience. Whether you're a vegan or a meat-lover, there's something for...

Travelled here and arrived at 10.15pm as it was the only place open I could find still doing protein shakes. The listing says they are open until 11pm. Staff tell me they stop serving food at 10pm. I explain I've just driven to visit them specifically for a shake and that we only want a shake, is there any chance they could do it. They said no.
I think that's pretty terrible customer service.
I'm quite surprised after being annoyed enough to post this that seems a lot of other customers have issues with the service too. I assume the staff are not getting paid enough to care about customer retention because it seems like such a simple thing to make a shake and create an appreciative customer, rather than a disgruntled one. If they stop serving food at 10pm they should put their closing time here on Google as 10pm, because who can come inside after 10pm if they are no longer serving :D its a mistake on their behalf not mine, and I paid with my time.
I did also already have breakfast there today which I thought was tasty but double the price for Bali standards.
Also worth noting as far as I remember the menu does not say about adding tax and service charge but it is added when...
