The menu does not say all the ingredients that the meals have on it. First of all the starters were cold when they suppose to be warm, as we ordered meat. Then, My couple has intolerance to beans and the curry was full of it when they donāt appear in the menu. Also I ordered a burger without onion, and the waitress told me I couldnāt take away the onion cause it was mixed with the meat, but sudently when the food arrived it was topped with onion, also it was topped with pepper, again in the menu there was no mention about pepper, I cannot stand pepper when I eat it, it repeats on me a lot. And all the burger bread was impregnated with the sauce of pepper.
Also, not that much important but weird at the same time, we asked if we were aloud to smoke and they say yes no problem and bring an ashtray but when we started to smoke the waitress ask us if we could go out of the restaurant. I think itās ok to do not disturb other costumers but on my oppinion they should tell you to go out from the start.
We came To the restaurant because I was in Ubud two years ago, it was good and full. But this time the restaurant has the half of the space, and itās completely empty. This place is...
Ā Ā Ā Read more"Tired!" We have been to Bali and Ubud many times over the years. We have been to Nomad a number of times so had no problem going on our recent visit. There is a lot of competition these days in Ubud with many new high-end restaurants opening. As one of Ubud's oldest restaurants you would think that they would be trying to keep up. Unfortunately our last visit didn't measure up. The menus, when they were finally bought to the table were grubby and looked tired. drink service was OK (how hard are two Bintangs) but when it came to getting our orders taken it was a different story. The food was OK, no complaints there. When trying to pay the bill I all but walked out figuring it was the only way to attract attention. The staff, all pleasant enough when you got to talk to them, were far more content to chat among themselves at the rear of the restaurant. Even the front of house "seaters" weren't interested. All in all a disappointing experience. As I said before there is a lot of competition out there and none of the older restaurants can reflect on past glory. Look at Ibu Rai. They have never compromised or lowered their standards and they were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWide variety of food that was all surprisingly average and above. The pumpkin soup was AMAZING it's really hard to find a good pumpkin soup and it actually was delicious.
The waitress I was attended to by looks kind of stern and judgmental but I think she's actually really nice. I ordered two dishes with the same side dish and she offered to change one for me without my asking. The food was great, there is a wide variety. I tried the grilled king prawns, so-so, but my god did the stir-fried long beans (side dish) blow me away. Phenomenal. And I'm chinese so I've had a lot of stir fried vegetables.
Tried the pork ribs, it didn't literally fall off the bones like the other reviews say, but it was alright. Marinade was tasty and it was tender enough.
Banana pudding was kinda odd, I would pass.
Overall everything was flavourful and I would definitely return to try their...
