Brunch for two, and we truly enjoyed the Classic Pancake and Egg Benedict. They know how to make it the right way. Pancakes are light, yet fluffy, and properly cooked. The Egg Benedict with avocado satisfied our cravings for savory egg breakfast. The restaurant has 60k breakfast package, available until mid-day.
The place itself is elegance meet comfort, yet manage to maintain the warm atmosphere. People can choose to sit outside, overlooking the busy Ubud main street and. Or inside where the plush chairs would make you want to stay a bit longer and chat with your friend a few more topics.
The staff are always on the move, but once you grab their attention, they quickly respond your request. They are friendly and attentive.
What I really appreciate from this place are (1) The free filtered cold water. You are allowed to request the second or the third bottle. The same principle also applied when you order tea. Free hot water refill available. (2) Free valet parking for motorbike, as the Ubud Main Street is officially not allowed for motorbike parking.
For a place being in such a good location, what they offer is a dream come true. Affordable, generous...
Read moreSecond visit while we were in Ubud due to having a nice breakfast. First time we sat on the terrace out front and enjoyed the experience. Second time we went for lunch and due to being busy we sat inside. The seating was located in front of the kitchen where it's open to see from the dining area. This is when I was shocked to see a number of the staff eating and putting their fingers in their mouths while cooking patrons food and not cleaning them. I initially gave them the benefit of doubt but continued to watch them and there were at least 3 staff doing this and handling people's food. We had 11 in our group and 3 had already had Bali Belly. While it's part and parcel we choose to eat at these kids of establishments to minimize the risk and there's an expectation that this kind of hygiene practice is not okay in a reputable environment. I advised the person taking our bill but she didn't really seem to care other than making sure to paid for the privilege. Nice food and setting but will try others after this experience as it's obviously a culture in this restaurant with so many of the staff practicing...
Read moreThis place is a real gem if you’re into good coffee and high-quality brunch. Everything we tasted was delicious – from the silky scrambled eggs with crispy bacon, to the fresh avocado toast with beetroot and feta, to the cheesy egg-loaded tortillas.
The coffee was honestly one of the best I’ve had on this trip – perfectly balanced and beautifully served. The setting is modern and Western-inspired, with attention to detail in both plating and interior. Yes, it’s not the cheapest place in Ubud, but you’re paying for quality, and it shows.
It was a bit noisy where we sat, so not ideal for deep conversation – but I’d still definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a solid brunch or lunch spot in Ubud. The staff was friendly and everything came out...
