Location & Ambience: Located in the heart of Dublin city centre, Dalang is a great choice for anyone craving authentic Korean cuisine. The interior design follows a clean, traditional Korean style, with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Background music is kept low, making it easy to enjoy conversations. It’s suitable for couples, families, or small groups—though it's best for groups of up to six due to space limitations.

Cleanliness & Comfort: The restaurant was clean and tidy throughout. However, there was a noticeable food smell at the entrance, which could be off-putting for those sensitive to strong scents. Improved ventilation at the front would enhance the overall experience.

Menu & Offerings: Dalang offers a variety of Korean dishes, including tabletop BBQ experiences where you grill your own food—a highlight for Korean cuisine fans. They also serve soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and bubble tea in different flavors.

We visited specifically for the bubble tea and tried two flavors. While they weren’t the best I’ve had, they were enjoyable.

Staff & Service: Staff were professional, polite, and friendly without being intrusive. Service was smooth and efficient.

Final Thoughts: Although we didn’t try the main dishes this time, I’m definitely planning to return for the Korean BBQ experience—it looked fantastic on nearby tables and brought back great memories of similar experiences elsewhere. Worth a visit for Korean food lovers looking for an authentic vibe in the...

The food was good but I found a hair about two inches in length in my food; my hair and the people I were eating with have hair at LEAST 10 inches long/27cm. I showed the waitress and said I didn’t want it anymore. Keep in mind I had barely eaten any of it. This rude waiter comes back with my food packages and I tell him what happened. Looking annoyed he asks how long the hair was and completely ignored my answer and turns to the waitress serving us with attitude but takes it back. When we pay I see it’s on my bill, I ask why is it on my hill because their was a hair in it. Again he asks how long it was, ignores my response and turns to our waitress and she gives the same answer I do. He scoffs and gets mad at the waitress, he says he needs to see the hair next time because it could’ve been a “mushroom.” I am not Korean but I know what an enoki mushroom is and it definitely wasn’t a mushroom; she honestly looked uncomfortable and embarrassed. He scoffs and acts annoyed while talking it off my bill. What bothered me was the rudeness to the waitress, she is just doing her job and he did not need to be rude to her for the kitchens mess up. He should be fired. The only reasons I gave 2 stars and not one was because the gyoza was good and the waitress(not the waiter) was very sweet. Since I am American I didn’t want to cause issues so I let his rudeness to his...

This Korean food is no more authentic than the food I make at home. I had jeyuk (stir fried pork) as part of their lunch deal, which is a steal at just 10 euro for lunch. That alone warrants a visit, but there's a few things that irked me. The pork was too salty. It wasn't served with danmuji which is a staple for serving bunsikjib food. The soup served with it was miso which isnt normally served with jeyuk, and the dumplings chinese. Mixing cuisines when calling the dish Korean is very odd. Then there's the barbecue. Looks great, but when people manage to burn their food (and there was during my visit because cooking at the table is still a novel idea for our western culture) the place gets filled with the smell of smoke and the air gets hazy. The staff did nothing to help prevent customers when their food was getting burnt. And to top off that none of the staff were Korean during my visit adds to the lack of authenticity. In reality, this is an Asian fusion restaurant.

That being said, the prices are more than reasonable for most dishes (bbq isn't cheap) and the food, while not authentic, isn't the worst.

If you want authentic Korean food, there are better places in Dublin for it. But if you like a reasonably priced quick lunch this is the...

Feel conflicted about this place, I enjoyed the food, generous portions, and pricing is very reasonable, their menu was also huge and had a lot of interesting Korean dishes, downside, miso that came with the bento was cold, the rice in the sushi was too thick, the restaurant itself was cold (I’m not sure if it was just due to the fact that we were sitting so close to the door but I couldn’t even take off my jacket because it was freezing inside, the toilet was also filthy. I really don’t wanna nitpick but there was also this very noticeable lingering musty smell. I wouldn’t say it’s the best asian food around Dublin but if you’re hungry and craving asian food, it’s decent enough.

I found your restaurant on Google Maps, and I'm really glad I did. I tried the Bulgogi, and it was very tasty. The meal was filling and good value, with the soup and rice included. The food is really the best part. Just one small suggestion – if you improve the look of the place a bit, I think the restaurant will do even better. The outside look is very simple, so if you make it more attractive from the road and do some nice decoration inside, it will surely bring in many more customers. Right now, if someone doesn't have Google Maps, they might just miss it. But the food was great, thanks! I will definitely come again.
