Flanagans... Oh Flanagans how you have made our year! We have been in Dublin for 2 days, heading home back to Leeds tomorrow (ALAW) (MOT). 4 meals to have had, 2 of which were at this mighty establishment! Optimally located right next to that big pointy spike thing, this stunning venue has no qualms over feeding hungry tummies with heavy munch and draught savvy b on (emphasis) TAP (scenes) Lasagne for lunch with the reduced lunch price and sauvignon blanc on TAP! For din dins on our final night after roaming the streets of Dublin and in our hour of need, there was Flanagans (opening arms) for another round of sauvignon blanc on TAP with a lovely side of carbonara. Food stops at a pleasant 9:45pm but you are welcome to stick around for another round of generous sauvignon blanc on TAP. Very reasonably priced and service was to absolute perfection. Glasses are brittle but Flanagans firmed it. Staff are wonderful and have brilliant insight into the intricacies of sauvignon blanc on TAP! I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH *SAUVIGNON BLANC ON TAP*!! (Other wines are available) Going back a cheeky brekky in the morning, cannot wait! All jokes aside... Lovely establishment, food was fantastic, great portions, staff are so nice and welcoming, and savvy b on TAP! Xx

Food is alright, the steak wasn't the best, mash was hard instead of creamy (as you can see in image below), salad was lovely but that's about it. Service was great up to the point when we mentioned a misunderstanding where the waitress brought wine by the glass instead of a bottle that we ordered. I do not blame the waitress at all she was super lovely and misunderstandings happen. However, when we mentioned the mistake 3 of the staff including the manager (female) came to our table. The manager proceeded to give out to us "would you not tell her when she brought the wine to the table", we called her back as soon as she put it down and we noticed. The wine glasses were not touched yet but we were made feel as if we were doing something wrong. It made the whole atmosphere uncomfortable for us and the whole meal we spent feeling judged instead of comfortable. I work as a waitress and we never make such a big deal out of a misunderstanding, we just fix the mistake and move on. Never ever would we make our paying customers feel uncomfortable and judged. I do not recommend you going to this restaurant, you'd be better off going next door.

Unfortunately this was not a great experience. My review would have been 1 star if not for the nice staff working, and the Pinot Grigio to wine was okay. We went for the 'early bird' option with 2 courses for €21.50 and 3 courses for €25.50. The early bird options were limited with only a few basic (and I would guess poorly selling) menu choices available. I went for the Caesar Salad starter, my companion had the Deep Fried Mushroom Balls, and we both had the Roast Lamb for mains. My caesar salad portion was too big for a starter, the dressing tasted 'fishy', the croutons were soft and mushy, and the lettuce chopped too small. I did not finish this. The Lamb Roast was nothing better than a carvery dinner. Poorly presented with large cumbersome chunky veg, steaming hot meat that appeared microwaved. I did not finish this either. The decor was dated with worn seats, needs a renovation. This restaurant may have been better in years gone by - judging by reviews from the 80s / 90s on the wall. But by now it is relying on its location and the passing tourist trade. It could do so much better.

Worst hospitality experience ever, I'll never spend an single euro in there and recommended to avoid the place at any costs. I went in there with my wife, son, my newborn son and brother in law. My wife joined us in city center for Xmas shopping and decided she wants some food in somewhere clean to feed the newborn baby too, the three of us had food already before somewhere else so we decided to join her and order some drinks and starter to share. After we ordered with very nice and friendly waitress the waitress came back and told us we all need to order main course as manager told her so we have so. I explained to the waitress only my wife is here for food and we ordered only drinks and starter as we had food before and we want to company my wife during she's having her meal but I ordered something so we won't be just hanging around but I'm actually willing to pay money for drinks and starter but she still said the manager wants us all to order proper food or we will be asked to leave and only my wife can stay to enjoy her food. I then went to manager to speak about the situation that I was never treated so badly in any place but still she asked me to leave restaurant if I'm not ordering anything except drinks and starter... I want to note that despite the disgraceful rule of one manager I was still polite and wasn't using any bad words but still she asked us to leave. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Neither me or my friends or family will ever go in there again ! I will share my experience with everyone I know to make people avoid...

Was a walk in and the giant of a doorman found me a nice table outside (covered area). After I found out you needed to order all at once and pay in advance if you dine outdoors. Perhaps to avoid the dine n dash people. Because the menu looked so good I asked if I can dine indoors. Problem I was more hungry than I could eat. Ordered the soup of the day (vegetable soup) was more a chowder. Was very yummy. Was good for that minor chest cold I had. Ordered Irish coffee and bangers n mash and added a last minute coke. The coffee was a bit strong 😋 Food arrived quite fast and very hot. I was surprised how much food there was for the main meal. You could easily split this meal. Thought the bangers (pork n leeks sausages) was just 2 but after I ate the one, I found a 3rd under the grilled onions. 😱 There's no way I can finish all this and have a planned pint of Guinness. 😭 Tonight was 70s and 80s music 😊 After I drank my coffee my cough was going away for now. I asked for a take away container to try finish this meal later. I did order a pint of Guinness just because it is a thing to do in Ireland. There is a big difference between Ireland and USA beers. As explained to me by a Brit in Hawaii, it's much more creamy and smoother. I tasted other stouts but this is much better in Ireland. Overall I do recommend this place for a afternoon or dinner out while in...

Worst service and food! Wouldnt recommend!

As the restaurant is asking for more info about my situation, here what happended:

My uncle was visiting me, so I searced for good reviews of irish breakfast in Dublin and Flanagan’s was really recomended. So, me, my friends and my uncle went there for breakfast. First thing, they took long time to take our orders, so my friend walked to a waitress to ask her if she could take our orders. The food took long to come. (More than 30 minutes)

My uncle and some friends ordered irish breakfast, which came missing some items that we have to ask. I ordered pancakes, which came with almost nothing of maple syrup and strawberries. My other friend ordered a salmon scrambed eggs, that was the worst! The bread came separated from the rest… it seems that they were in a rush, and just throw some bit of egg and salmon slices in the plate. Everything so overprice for the food that they offers..

In the end, the bread finished and we asked for more. The waitress just brought us the bread when we finished to eat.

Finally, to bring the bill and the machine they were quick… didnt took one minute. However they dont split bills…

In conclusion, food and service not match with the reviews on google. I didnt have a good...
