We went for Christmas lunch here with my office colleagues and I'll be honest- I am not the right amount of sophisticated to maybe do the justice to the type of food here. So take it with bit of pinch of salt. So it was my first experience of having a full course meal. After lot of research via reading so many reviews, I had decided to go for "Tartare of beef" as a starter. It was I'd say alright. Nothing to give my mouth an absolute memorable taste to be frank that I would mention it specially as a recommendation. In main course I had Steak Frites and they again were kind of just alright. It's maybe my Indian taste buds which keeps on trying to find some miraculous taste in other cuisines' dishes and technically should not. But I've read many people loving it and thus I feel I might not be the right person to give a proper review. But if I was allowed, I'd say, the taste wasn't that amazing again to make me try it again. And lastly, for desert I had Crème Brûlée was again just alright, nothing amazing here either. The the place was lovely, service was great and everyone else with me were mostly European guys and they loved their food. So I believe, it must be good overall.

This restaurant doesn't deserve its name "L'Geulton", which means a very rich meal (if not a feast). The portions were embarrassingly tiny. You can see the lamb dish in the photo. There was literally 2 pieces fighting each other. It's almost as if they are trying to squeeze 3 plates out of 1 lamb rump. Let's not even talk about the 1 and a half potato served with it. The steak, not in the picture, had a lot of fat and ended up being a disappointment as well. The fries ordered as a side were swimming in oil. The cherry on the cake was the Price of it all : 30 euros for the 2 slices of lamb 50 euros for the steak. Just writing this review makes me bitter. To the customers : expect to be paying for a very high end restaurant while having to order extra food (and spend more) or still be hungry when you leave. Hence why the name of the restaurant is a cynical joke. To the restaurant : step up your game : serve an actual rump of lamb and more potatoes. Pick steak with less fat. Or else adjust your prices. Either way, I probably won't be back, because other restaurants in the area show more respect to their customers.

Disappointing experience at the bar. Ordered two margaritas and an espresso martini – was shocked to be charged €66.50 for the three drinks. I’d had a margarita here just a few weeks ago for around €14, so I questioned the price. The barman explained it was because we requested Don Julio tequila – but that was never mentioned when we ordered, nor was it stated on the menu. He said it’s their policy to charge for a standard tequila shot plus two extra premium shots when Don Julio is requested, which came to €26 per margarita. That pricing structure makes no sense, and when I said it felt extortionate, he just shrugged and said, “This is Dublin.” It took speaking to two different managers before we got even a partial refund of €21. Meanwhile, two friends sitting beside us ordered the same margaritas, got Don Julio without even requesting it, and were charged only €14.50 each. How can one customer be charged nearly double for the same drink? Honestly felt scammed – zero transparency, wildly inconsistent pricing, and an attitude that made it clear they didn’t care. Won’t be back.

Stylish restaurant, very busy, good atmosphere. French themed but very limited quite expensive menu so was expecting something special. Extremely disappointed! Camembert to share for €27, the cheese was over ripened and far too runny. Served with a few breadsticks and toasted sourdough (burnt). Not at all nice but just left it there without complaining (taking clients for dinner). Had the €34 pork chop for mains. Probably the worst presented awful plate of food I had in 20 years! The chop wasn’t seasoned, tough, 70% fat … just awful. It was sent out sliced (why) and cold (even those of us who ordered this were left waiting several minutes after others were served!). It was served with freezing cold Apple sauce sauce with a few indescribable Dallas leaves spread on top and gone off cold parsnip shavings. Did not have to pay for the pork chops needless to say! The €€ description is also misleading. Eating out in Dublin has got expensive but the food here is way overpriced and very underwhelming. Many of my clients from overseas (France, Germany and UK) were really surprised at the poor value. Great location and lovely atmosphere but this restaurant really needs to revisit its limited menu and take stock of its kitchen. Waiter was polite but overworked and didn’t see him smile once. (Appreciate that you replied to my review but disappointed with how you responded. Three of our group ordered the pork chop. Two of us had the same complaint so it was not an issue of taste! It wasn’t the only issue we had which was what motivated me to write an honest review. You were extremely busy on the night and I understand the kitchen can’t be perfect. I have been to your restaurant on several occasions and been happy with the experience but not on this occasion for several reasons. My review was honest and sincere, your...

I recently visited Igueuleton to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, perfect for special occasions, and most of the staff seemed friendly at first. However, my experience with the food and service left much to be desired.

I ordered the gnocchi, and unfortunately, it was inedible due to an overwhelming amount of salt. Mistakes happen, and I understand that, but what was disappointing was the lack of follow-up. After serving our dishes, the waiter never returned to check if we were satisfied. As my friends finished eating, my untouched plate sat in front of me, clearly signaling a problem. When the waiter finally came to clear our plates, they didn’t ask about my full, uneaten dish or whether anything was wrong.

Paying 27 euros for a dish I couldn’t eat felt frustrating, especially without the opportunity to address the issue. I’d suggest that the staff receive additional training on customer service, as it seemed they weren’t attentive to guests' dining experiences. A simple check-in would have allowed the restaurant a chance to make amends, but unfortunately, they missed the opportunity. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and...

Bouncer: Alex, short, maybe Italian, made us feel extremely belittled and uncomfortable. I usually love the l’Gueuleton. Drinking here 6/7 years. However, this bouncer was extremely aggressive, intimidating and degrading. Myself and 3 girls went for drinks at 6pm, sitting outside (All 30 years of age) and his attitude was outrageous!! He singled me out on various occasions and put his hand to my face (shouting) “Do you speak English I told you to move” , “Do not speak back to me I am a bouncer”, “Talk to me and you will be barred”. He also purposely would not step aside at the door when we were passing by - I don’t know why he had a problem with us we were very respectful. He also had a group of men sitting with him at the door all night and they spoke together and laughed, pointed at us in their own language, or about other people at the bar. This was all before 8pm, the place was quite quiet and calm. I will never return to the Guilleton unfortunately due to this bouncer as I felt so uncomfortable and belittled, I could not speak . My friends said we felt like we were 16 at a sleazy bar, and other people there agreed too. We are mid 30s and regularly visit this...
