Made reservations for 4 for 7pm on August 21. It was our last night in Ireland and we wanted an authentic Irish restaurant. I picked it when I was walking by earlier in the day and thought the menu looked good. I'm just going to stick to the facts here and what our experience was.... We had reservations but a walk-in group of 4 was seated at a better table closer to the front. Our table was pushed to the side and we were seated in a very tight area. It is a small restaurant. The beer I ordered from the menu was not available. Ok - no big deal - I can deal with that....but things only got worse. Service was very slow - from taking our order, to delivering drinks and finally 50 minutes after arriving, we were served our food. Again, that would have been ok if the food was good. It took so long, we were actually getting up to leave but of course just then the waitress brought our food. Orders included, Irish stew, Guiness beef stew, children's lasagne and regular lasagne. Stews were terrible - broth was watery, beef was stringy, bread not the best. Neither were finished. Children's lasagne was the same size as regular lasagne and was overly salty. I'm not sure what took so long - I'm sure the stews and lasagne would have been made already. Maybe they only have 1 microwave? Chips served with lasagne (?) were dry too. Originally thought the prices were good but paid 82 euros for dinner which was not worth it (about $120 in CAD) no dessert was ordered - we just wanted to get out. I saw other patrons experiencing the same wait as us and their food looked equally unappetizing. As I watched people come in, I wanted to warn them. When I saw people outside stop and look at the menu and then peek in to the restaurant and leave, I was happy for them they left. As we were leaving a group of 4 had just sat down at a table set for 5 or 6 behind us. The waitress asked them to move to our table. I suggested to them to take the opportunity to leave as the service was slow and the food not great. They thanked me for my advice and left. It gave me some peace of mind that O'Sheas didn't ruin their...

The level of service we received was shockingly poor and felt blatantly discriminatory. We were treated with disrespect and unfairness that seemed to be motivated by racial bias. This is completely unacceptable and has ruined any desire to ever return to this establishment.

Your door was broken and ppl who passed by could never shut it down properly. I had to close the door for them all the time.. The staff repeatedly refused to accommodate our request for a table change from the door to an inner table, even though they were able to seat another local couple who had not booked in advance as well.

Your staff also questioned us about a juice we had just purchased and put on the table (the space is so tiny and we haven't got a chance to hide it yet), without confirming for any details. We didn't intent to have it during the meal at all. This displayed an appalling lack of professionalism and respect.

We didn't finally try your food but I hope it is great enough to let your cutomers forget about all these unpleasant and unfair experience they are facing when they just sit at the table. You may keep...

Most humiliating and dehumanizing experience of my life. I was so excited to come but it was ruined by the waiter and this restaurant.

As I walked in I sat down and I told the Italian/Mediterranean male waiter I had a voucher for 4 people but they weren’t able to make it so if I could take their food as takeaway. The waiter told me that they are not allowed to give takeaway and told me to get a refund from groupon. I had already told my family that I will bring their 3 portions so I asked if maybe I can order them and then take them away. He kept insisting on me to get my money back which made me feel like he wasn’t welcoming me and wanting me to leave. I spent €34 on the voucher which is a lot of money to me.

I don’t understand why you can’t offer takeaway. I felt like I was being discriminated as a Groupon customer. The male waiter was not smiling or overly friendly but the female waitress was great.

The food was nice but ruined by the waiter’s attitude.Do not recommend as a Groupon customer. If you are going to be rude to Groupon customers why even give...

I would give zero stars if it was an option. Do not waste your time or money going here. It took almost ten minutes before anyone even came for our drink order after seating us. The server was extremely rude and did not even allow us to finish ordering before walking away with the menus. There was a live spider in our water pitcher. The bread was cold as if it just came out of the refrigerator. The salad was far from fresh. We’ve had better baked potatoes from Wendy’s. The place in general was disgusting and did not give the traditional Irish feel that it promises. To top it off they asked us to be in and out even though there were only 3/11 tables filled. We promptly left and had a splendid time at McDonalds.

O’Sheas, the restaurant itself, was a bit out dated and underwhelming. The service was laissez faire. We had to let the server know when we were ready to order and request the check after obviously finishing our meal. The saving grace was the Irish Stew!!! Absolutely delicious!! The stew was seasoned to perfection, with two full potatoes, chunks of carrots and plenty of lamb. The steamy hot broth was scrumptious and perfect for warming up your insides! The burger was a bit dry, but other than that it was okay. This is a place you come for the food (which is reasonably priced) not the ambiance or service.

We had a fantastic experience at O'Shea's! The food was really good — great quality and generous portions, and, for the area it's in, the prices were not too expensive. The restaurant itself was nice and the bathrooms were clean. What really stood out, though, was the staff — everyone was incredibly kind. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot with good food, fair prices, and a warm, friendly vibe. We got 2 whiskey sausages and 1 irish stew and both were very good. However, we did get water bottles instead of tap water which was our mistakes so it was 21.39 euros per person (3 people total).
