Myself and my friend visited this pub on Fri the 29th Dec (2 days ago), we had travelled from Birmingham and had been here before and really enjoyed it, after spending approx 2 hours in the pub, a security guard (not the original doorman that let us in, a different one) came into the pub and told us to leave without giving us any reason, myself and my friend were not drunk - we were sat down at a table talking between us, not harming anyone. We didn’t understand, so followed him out, to be told that ‘we are dressed inappropriately’ stating ‘what sort of attention are we after’ this came as an insult and a shock, I tried to take the doorman’s badge number, however he took it off, and started flashing his torch in our eyes. After informing him that even though it shouldn’t matter what we were wearing (a skirt and a top) that we do have boyfriends, and that we were simply having a drink in a pub like everyone else, to which he laughed and said ‘do you have a boyfriend? I doubt they would let you out the house like that’ at this point, we were in complete disbelief at how rude and offensive and downright mysoginistic he was being towards us, and we started to get upset, in which he began to mock us. My friend asked for a senior manager to report him too, and he said ‘there is no one above me, and no one will listen to you, look at you’. I would seriously avoid this place if you don’t want to be embarrassed and ridiculed! He ruined our night, and we went straight back to the hotel at 11:40pm. This whole interaction, including the aforementioned comments is also captured on video, which I am happy to provide to the venue if they wish to see it.

The Auld Dubliner pub is a true Dublin delight! Stepping inside feels like entering a cozy portal to Ireland's heart and soul. The traditional Irish ambiance, complete with rustic decor and live music, creates an atmosphere that's both welcoming and authentic. The staff at The Auld Dubliner are not just bartenders; they're storytellers and ambassadors of good times. Their friendly service adds an extra layer of warmth to the place. In the heart of Dublin, The Auld Dubliner is more than a pub; it's a destination for those seeking an authentic Irish pub experience. Cheers to The Auld Dubliner for capturing the spirit of Dublin in every pint and every song!

Stayed for one night, but would definitely go back. It's value for money when you consider the location. Yes, the room was sma and pretty basic, but it was clean and even came with ear plugs 🤣 I sleep with ear buds in anyway so popped them on to noise cancellation and whilst it's slap bang in the middle of Temple Bar, even with the window cracked open I slept well. Room was a little warm, couldn't work the aircon out! The pub is very lively, most welcoming and a great atmosphere. Prices are standard for the location. You get what you pay for, so if you want a well located room to crash for a night then this is a good choice.

I Went to Dublin last Saturday for a family night out, we were out enjoying ourselves and only had one drink until the doorman came up to me while I was seated super aggressively told me to leave . He completely embarrassed me infront of the entire bar when I was sitting quietly and enjoying the music, I tried to resolve what was wrong or what I had done and he continuously screamed in my face hovering over me to get out using terrible language after I had just purchased myself and my family a drink. He genuinely scared me he was that hateful and aggressive, I had to leave he then escorted me out like I was a criminal . Once I was outside he refused to give me a reason or listen to me on why I was kicked out instead he chose to pick on me a young girl and throw her out of the bar in an aggressive manner into the streets of Dublin on her own which resulted in me and my whole family having to leave and not take our drinks making an entire scene infront of the bar . I then asked him for his name and he refused to give it and said it was none of my buisness . I do not recommend this bar to any tourists or anyone travelling to Dublin around Ireland he completely ruined our night and never in my life have I been treated so disrespectfully it was like I was dirt...

amazing pub and me and friends had the best time! played all the best live music classics with people singing along and we made so many friends. drink prices were also fair compared to other places nearby, so this was our go to for most of our trip.

the only thing that left us with a negative experience was one rude security guard on the door, the other security were lovely while still doing their job. my friend was wearing his normal clothes however on his bottom half wearing dark jogging bottoms (we had no idea there was a dress code to dublin, so that's our fault) and got let in for a few hours until we went outside and he got kicked out later on in the evening by this man very rudely. i also noticed him being rude to homeless people, who were causing no grief or anti social behaviour (i would know, im a support worker) also if we were talking to others outside and being merry (while still causing no issues) he was volatile and would ask us to move away from the pub including other guests, rudely again. it is a shame as the place is lovely. i understand security have a tough gig but do it with kindness, otherwise it'll just drive...
