Me & friend pop in to spice & Rice express for a bite to eat before heading out on the town to celebrate the new year so we went In not expecting anything we were great white warm friendly smiles we took whatever  we wanted got are menu we both surprised to see so many traditional dishes on the menu we could wait to order my friend got chicken tikka masala with rice and naan bread the sauce was amazing full of flavours the chicken was juicy the naan bread was perfect I had the lamb Achari very interesting dish with a pickle spiced vegetable a most try for vegetarians without the lamb of course the safe where very professional and friendly the place was very clean and look great very comfortable seating well worth a try well done and keep the good food coming. The price was very good with some drinks came to 20€ per person the is no on street parking so will have find a place there a few around not to far we seen photos on the wall of good reviews and even a food awards to the only negative was the table at the door can be a bit cold with the people coming and going it was a very  cold night to. over all love this place I would  100% recommend this place 👍👍👍

Visited on a late Wednesday evening and found a table for 2. There were a handful of other guests in at the time. -Garlic & Coriander Naan -Garlic & Cheese Naan -Basmati Rice -Pilau Rice (turmeric - we liked this rice best) -Mator Paneer Jalfrazee (Vegetarian) -Chicken Hawabi Garam Masala -Mango Lassi (so yummy!) All the food and sauces were SO delicious! We asked for spicy and could've had them even spicier! Our server was so patient when we meeded a lot of time to study the menu. Entire staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and return again!

The interior is really cozy (I loved the glass mosaic tiling), although some of the chairs can be a bit cramped, and with four full meals, the table gets full pretty quickly. Maybe a coat hanger or something similar wouldn't be a bad idea, especially with some of the chairs against the wall (where I was lucky enough to sit, and so I couldn't hang my backpack or coat on the back of the chair, or even put it next to me). The food is tasty and pleasantly spicy, the portions are large. I think the cheese naan is brilliant. The lady serving us was really nice.

Five out of five naan breads – this place is a spicy sensation!

While staying in Dublin, our quest for a great meal led us to Spice and Rice Express, conveniently near our hotel, the Maldron. And wow, did we strike gold! This cozy Indian restaurant is an absolute delight, offering a vibrant escape from the typical tourist fare.

Let’s dive into the food: every dish was a flavor explosion that left us planning our next visit before we'd even finished. The portions were generous, the spices on point, and each bite was a celebration of authentic Indian cuisine. It's clear that the chefs here know their craft. Despite specializing in Indian food, they also offer other items like gyros, catering to various tastes.

The service was just as impressive. The staff greeted us with smiles that felt like a warm welcome into their culinary home. Their friendliness and efficiency turned a quick meal into a memorable dining experience.

When we visited, a large hurling game had just finished, and the place was buzzing with locals stopping by for a bite on their way home. Clearly, this spot is a local favorite, and it’s easy to see why.

Although the restaurant focuses on take-away, they offer a comfortable dining area with 6-8 tables, perfect for those who prefer to enjoy their meals on-site. However, one thing to note: they don't serve alcohol. For those who enjoy a glass of wine or beer with their curry, this might be a slight drawback. Obtaining a license could help them cater to a wider range of customers and make the dining experience even better.

In a nutshell, Spice and Rice Express is a must-visit for anyone craving fantastic Indian food in Dublin. Great food, superb service, and a charming atmosphere – what more could...

This place be stealing business from the original Spice n Rice , just a few blocks away!!! Gross! I placed an order via phone at the original location, but google Maps brought me to this one for some reason (16 Dorset st vs. 34 Dorset🙄). I arrived to collect (not knowing there are now 2 spice n rices , wondering if there'd been a renovation-had been away from Dublin a while) & was visibly distressed when they said they didnt know what order i was talking about. Instead of confessing their sneaky scheme of stealing spice n rice customers when they could see i was v distressed on the verge of tears after a terrible evening....they said oh we'll make it for you now don't worry! So i had to sit and wait another 10 min when in a rush... Later that evening the Original Spice n Rice called me to ask if i was coming to get my order. I cried then feeling awful about having wasted their time,& their food, and having these dishonest ppl lie to my face when i was on the verge of tears already . What a horrible business model , to copy the exact name & location of a business on the same street& knowingly steal their customers in this exact way, vERy deliberately... i can't believe it's allowed. The food was decent but i don't care, this is no way to treat ppl & run a business ~it's incredibly deplorable. They tricked a friend of mine the...
