Starbucks Bishop's Square — Restaurant in Dublin

Rude barista took my order. I order coffee nearly every day in the States by simply saying "grande coffee"....he looked at me as if I spoke to him in a language he didn't understand. Asked what kind. "What kind of what?" Coffee. "Regular drip." He rudely asked again and said "black coffee, a latte or an americano...what do you want?!" Um - if I wanted a coffee prepared another way I would've ordered it that way. I said just black coffee. Then he asked where I was from. I said TX, with a smile! ;) I asked where he was from: Buenos Aires. Figures. I knew an Irish native would've never been that rude. To anyone. The other two female co-workers with him at the time just laughed under their breath as he continued to speak negatively about me to them. Extremely unprofessional. Huge thumbs down for this Starbucks. 4th one I've been to in the 2.5 days I've been here in Dublin...never coming back...

I ran to this store to make closing time to buy a souvenir mug (I collect them from places I travel). Closing time was 7pm and I arrived just as my phone ticked over from 6:59 to 7:00. The door was locked but someone was behind the counter; he shook his head and pointed at his wrist. Feeling very defeated after running and thinking I’d made it I said ‘I don’t want to order coffee but can I just ask a question’ wanting to know what time they opened the next day to try and make it back. He looked angry shook his head again and more aggressively pointed at his wrist.

Shocking service. I understand they couldn’t serve me (though frustrating with how close I was to making closing time) but to refuse to even answer a question? I made it clear I wasn’t expecting a sale. Meanwhile, the other person working was laughing at the exchange....

A regular Starbucks as we expected. I went there to take a coffee and spend sometime studying. They have plugs to connect but don’t have a good chairs so what make me thing they dont want you there for a long period of time. But anyway was a good experience not for studying but it’s a good place to go and spend a time with a friends or just...
