Best tour to learn about pre-Viking "Dublin" - before this place was Dubh Linn; before the castle; before the oldest bridge was even built; before the estuary on the eastern side of Eire was walled in and called a "river"... bring your curiosity and your sense of wonder and learn how ancient travelers and pilgrims and pirates crossed the water and built this magical city. No prior experience required - be prepared to get more of a workout than you expected, but never more than you can handle. Don't forget your towel (or be prepared for a damp journey back to your lodgings). A++ would book this tour again (and again and...) (P.S. tour guides, if you're reading this and are open to a themed tour idea, may I suggest "ghosts under bridges" for a "haunted tour" of these waters? If you add this option, please email me so I can fly back to Dublin with some friends just for *that* kayak tour 🤣)

Great city adventure that let’s you experience city center through a whole new perspective! The kayaking experience was fun, easy and we were able to get beautiful pictures (and awesome memories!). This experience is great for families, friends, couples, even solo! You get about 2 hours to explore a nice stretch of the Liffey (from Capel Street Bridge to the Samuel Beckett Bridge). Someone from the company is always at hand (they cruise around on a motor boat) if you need any help, but you’re left up to your own devices, so you can enjoy the views, get a bit of a workout, float for a while, take some great pics and even interact with people on the bridges. Great fun! Highly recommended. The price is more than fair (€25 pp), the staff was responsive, friendly and knowledgeable, and the process (from booking to kayaking) was a breeze .

Myself and a group of friends did the music under the bridges experience this Sat. The experience itself its brilliant, great to get out onto the Liffey and see the city from a different perspective and the musician was brilliant. My only feedback was the guide - he was so grumpy and rude it totally killed the vibe. Its hard to relax and enjoy "dirty old town" being sung on the Liffey when youve just been screamed at for daring to have a giggle at any point. Understandably safety is key, but a a more personable delivery of instructions and the space to at least crack a smile at some point would have really made the experience far more memorable.

What can I say !! 🤷 what an amazing experience !! We loved it, our son was blown away with it. Paddling down the capitals river that's steeped in history , just to be able to paddle underneath the bridges alone was incredible. The halfpenny footbridge in all her glory in the sunshine. Our guide and mentor for the trip was Johnathan. What a super decent guy. He was able to put us at ease within minutes and kept us safe for the few hours we spent with him. We made it all the way up to Guinnesses brewery before turning back down again. The views of Dublin from the river are a must see, bring a change of clothes and footwear as getting splashed is part of the fun. We found the Hilton Hotel carpark perfect to get in and out. Toilets at the hotel were handy and parking is reduced if you eat in the hotels Olys restaurant ( very reasonable prices and food was amazing) have your parking ticket handy when leaving hotel, reception will zap the ticket as you leave.( every little helps!!)

As a family outing it's perfect, fun and very rewarding. We plan to go back later in the year and aim to get up as far as chapelizod if we can. Arrive ahead of time, groups often get delayed and it can impact others booked for the same time. Also, a good pair of waterproof leggings or just light waterproof clothes help. Wet suits not really needed but it can be windy so a warm top will help.

10/10 you...

We booked a kayaking session with a friend as we seen from the quay- kayaks going up and down on the river and decided to give this new adventure a go. So we booked which was very simple and easy to do.... then came on the day. We arrived and my friend was a bit nervous & anxious about the adventure... the staff were very respectful of this and reassured him he would be ok and to be careful and to enjoy. So we were given our flotation vests and our pre boarding and safety advice. We were in the kayak and then we were away . My friends anxiety was eased by the constant but not intrusive supervision on the water and after about 20 mins we were comfortable, relaxed and confident on the water . We were at all times safe and having so much fun. This experience was absolutely epic and the staff are so friendly charming and full of joy and great to deal with - we have already booked another time - so we will see you again real soon :) thanks...
