We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant, and I feel compelled to share it.
As an Asian visitor, I was made to feel uncomfortable from the start. Although I spoke English, the owner insisted on speaking Mandarin to us — even though Mandarin is not my native language, and other staff were clearly fluent in English. It felt like I was being treated differently simply because of my appearance.
In contrast, Italian guests were greeted warmly, seated comfortably inside air-conditioned rooms, and treated with courtesy. We, on the other hand, were pressured to order immediately before we were ready. When I politely asked for a few more minutes to review the drinks menu, the owner took the menus away without a word and demanded we order straight away.
We were a group of eight. When we asked about table availability, the owner walked away without answering. After standing outside for 10 minutes in the summer heat, we were finally let in — but no chairs were set. We were seated in the lobby area, which was poorly ventilated and uncomfortable. A ceiling fan was present but not turned on, adding to the discomfort.
To make things worse, one of the dishes — tofu with mixed vegetables — tasted sour, as if the tofu had gone bad. This raised serious concerns about food quality and safety.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this combination of poor service, uncomfortable environment, and what felt like racially biased treatment made the experience upsetting. I hope management reflects on this — all guests, regardless of background, deserve equal respect and basic...
Read moreTwo pieces of the xiaolongbao are gone off and has a smell. One of them the skin did not even rise, all the pieces are not proofed well. The lady apologised for the piece that did not rise and leave quickly. Well, they shouldn’t have gave it to me instead of apologising for giving me something bad. The soup’s portion is quite big compared to others. The shrimp dimsim is just fine. Salt and pepper spareribs is quite salty for me, the salt is not...
