Bar San Giuliano — Restaurant in Como

The food was good and the owners are friendly. However, the pricing was misleading. I asked for their menu del giorno (normally Italian restaurants have a 2 course meal + drink in the afternoon around the 12/13 Euro range called "menu del giorno"). Only when I got my bill, it was 24 Euros. I felt deceived. One of the owners saw a 20 Euro bill in my hand and accepted that and I gave in before I lost my temper.

I'll admit that I should have been more careful with checking the prices but at the same time you shouldn't say you have a menu del giorno...

Lovely little community bar with lots of families and dogs gathered near a church, a lovely ambience and great food and drinks. For a Friday afternoon it was busy which of course is to be expected, however it was over half an hour wait for two drinks so possibly they are short staffed. There is a very local and community feel which is fantastic while outside, but feels very hostile from the staff if you are not a local. This could be simply a language barrier, however on ordering or on paying our bill we were not made to feel...
