This place has decent food. We ordered the frutti del mare (€15) and the taglioline with truffle (€16) and they tasted quite decent to the price point.
The frutti del mare was excellent (5/5*), lots of ingredients and just the right amount of sauce. The truffle with mushroom taglioline (3.5/5*) was a bit too light for us - more cheese flavour than bringing out the mushroom and truffles essence.
Service-wise (2/5*): Unfortunately, we were seated outside as we were told the inside seats were not available (we see them empty for the duration that we were there, so that's about 1.5-2 hours). Also unfortunately that half the heaters were broken, rendering us and another table to relocate even though we can be closer to the heating element but actually colder due to being closer to the rain.
The menu also stated the coperti (service fee) is €2 per person. Looking at all the other tables, the bread was not given and the service was also quite minimal.
Overall, the food was pretty good, but because of the environment and situation (lack of heat) and service fees, we didn't feel super comfortable and left...
Read moreWe tried to book a table at this restaurant but never recived an answer so when we showed up we were seated outside which we specifically asked not to be. The waitress was all over the place but not at our table. It took us 10 minutes to even get the menu, which were broken. When we were going to order she suddenly, in the middle of our sentence, left for another table, and she didn't even ask if we wanted something to drink. The food did come out quickly but was rather tasteless and boring, we could have done better by ourselvs and the Parmigiano bowl barely had any cheese in it so none of us got to take as much as we wanted. My spaghetti was overcooked aswell. The tiramisu was not at all what it usually is and the biscuits tasted old. When we were paying I had a look into the kitchen and there were towels on the floor and a plastic box of pre cooked spaghetti, plus quite dirty. Two of the other waitors were pretty professional I have to say, but the overall experience was awful. Would not...
Read moreWe had an early dinner and split an order of artisanal spinach ravioli with pecorino cream, truffle and walnuts which was absolutely wonderful. You’ll be grateful for the farmer bread (€2/person service) to scrape the bowl and sop up every drop! We followed with a green salad which was a variety of tender leaves including red oak, spinach, and added 2 spoonfuls of the grated cheese left from the pasta to dress it. Absolutely wonderful, simple Italian cooking delivered with pride by the owner. We had arrived early and noticed most of the patrons were having after work espressos on the patio, and smoking over by the sidewalk in between. The patio is covered with plastic and has some lighting, but this place is all about good, basic food. Being a block from the main square, prices are tourist prices for wines, beers and waters. We had enjoyed a happy hour glass in the hotel room before dining. I usually take photos, but dug right in...
