Budellino bar — Restaurant in Florence

We ended up coming here twice during our stay in Florence after being frightened by the lines at the nearby famous sandwich shop. Turns out they have fantastic sandwiches right here in this no-line establishment, including a vegetarian one called the "San Lorenzo" which was basically a caprese with an olive spread in it. We thought it was quite tasty and very similar overall to the sandwich we got later on at the famous place.

Our second time there we had a little frittata (also vegetarian) and a mini sandwich with cheese and lettuce. Both of these were perfect light lunches / snacks to keep us filled up enough to wander around Florence and not fill up too much before dinner.

The prices were great too! There's a cool vibe in the place and the staff who served us both times we were there were very friendly. This was a great place for a quick snack/lunch for us vegetarians and there are many more options for food and drink on their menu.

Well worth...

This is a pleasant place to have a drink and something to eat in the centre of Florence where many bars and restaurants are on the side of being a little expensive. The place itself is simple and not too spacious but it is characteristic and the background music is great! You choose your own food as you enter, find a place to sit and once they have prepared your order you go and collect your dish. I will certainly return when I am in that area of Florence. Value for money is good especially when considering the prices other places charge in that area. I...

Absolutely not recommended! After ordering in a not simple way, we waited a good hour, standing, to receive a plate of ravioli and lampredotto... while watching people just sitting at the table receive their order. Furthermore, after receiving the order they didn't even apologize or thank us for the wait. We understand very well that it was in the middle of the season at peak time, but just tell us that we would have had to wait so long and we would have gone to another of the thousands of restaurants around....
