The service at Tavernetta della Signoria was exceptional from the moment we stepped in. The staff members were welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout the evening.

The wine selection at Tavernetta della Signoria was impressive, with a diverse range of Italian wines to choose from. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or simply enjoy a good glass of vino, this restaurant has something for everyone. The sommelier was extremely helpful in guiding us through the options, suggesting pairings that perfectly complemented our meals.

Let’s talk about the steak as I am a steak lover, Tavernetta della Signoria is a must-visit. The steaks we ordered were cooked to perfection, with a beautiful sear on the outside and a tender, juicy interior. The cuts were of excellent quality, and the flavors were rich and well-balanced. The steaks were served with a selection of mouthwatering sauces and accompanied by delicious side dishes that complemented the meat perfectly. It's evident that the chefs take great care in preparing their steaks, resulting in an unforgettable dining experience.

The overall food experience at Tavernetta della Signoria was exceptional. The menu featured a variety of traditional Tuscan dishes, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From the appetizers to the desserts (Tiramisu is a must try), each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavors. The pasta dishes were cooked al dente, the seafood was incredibly fresh, and the desserts were decadent and indulgent. It was evident that the chefs took great pride in their craft, and their passion for creating delicious food shone through in every bite.

The ambience of Tavernetta della Signoria was warm, inviting, and elegant. The interior was tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The soft lighting and comfortable seating made for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or looking for a romantic dinner spot, this restaurant offers a charming setting that adds to the...

I visited Florence as a tourist and everything was going great as per plan. But my experience took a very unpleasant turn because of how I was treated at Tavernetta della Signoria.

As per my plan, I had a sandwich at the famous All’antico Vinaio. Since they didn’t have a washroom and the place was extremely crowded, I started walking nearby and came across this restaurant. It looked like a decent place, so I politely asked the guy standing outside if I could use the washroom. He replied that it’s only for customers — which I completely respected — and I clearly told him that I would order something after using the washroom. He agreed and allowed me in.

After using the washroom, I came back and asked the waiter for the menu. He gave it to me. Since I was already full from the sandwich, I thought I’d just order a dessert. But the menu didn’t have any dessert section, so I asked the waiter if they had anything sweet. He kept replying only in Italian.

Since he looked South Asian, I asked him if he knew Hindi — he said no. Then I asked if he spoke Bengali — and he said yes. Just to make things clearer, I mentioned examples like rosogulla and sandesh so he would understand I’m asking for something sweet, not anything specific. I even asked again in Italian, “Dolce hai kya?” That’s when he said “Tiramisu,” and I told him “Yes! That’s exactly what I was asking.”

But instead of taking the order, the waiter suddenly got angry, took the menu back from me, and asked me to leave — saying he doesn’t want customers like me.

This was completely shocking, humiliating, and uncalled for. It spoiled my mood and ruined the rest of my plans for the day. I couldn’t enjoy Florence after that — the incident kept playing on my mind.

I’ve travelled to many countries and cities, and this was by far the worst hospitality experience I’ve ever had.

I’m sharing this so that the owners are aware of the kind of behaviour being shown to tourists at their restaurant. I sincerely hope they take corrective action so that no other visitor has to go through this kind of rude and...

Arrived late at the restaurant at 10:25pm and they were super accommodating in letting us dine until we finished our dinner at 11:20pm. The service was awesome and they were very kind and attentive throughout even though we dined with them super late.

Regarding the food, my family did the Florentine steak course for 2 meal. When they brought out the steak, I thought it was HUGE! After eating the steak, I thought it was one of the best steaks I’ve had coming from Los Angeles. It was NOT well done at all like other reviews have said. It came out rare and perfectly cooked in my opinion. The course also came with dessert which was a nice way to close out the steak. The dessert tasted light, not overly sweet or heavy which was a nice way to close out our dinner after having eaten so much steak.

We also ordered a cream gnocchi which was alright, but nothing to write home about. It was little cheesy for my personal taste but it was still good nonetheless. Your mileage will vary depending on how much you like cheese.

Overall I thought their steak course deal was amazing at $55 for two people considering how much other places charge. I was skeptical reading the reviews at first but I recommend anyone who’s on the fence to give this...

We walked past and what caught our attention was the happy hour offer of €6 for a aperol spritz and a bruschetta and we decided to take a seat. Once inside we decided to go for the offer of the menu for 2 with the steak, potatoes and desert. I had food in several restaurants in the Florence area where I had the chance to try different kinds of red meat, however this restaurant managed to beat them all. I couldn’t believe how tasty the meat was. We asked for a medium rare steak and that’s exactly what we have been served. The meat was so tender and tasty I just can’t stress enough on how good it was. The meat came with potatoes which were cooked to perfection, both the panna cotta and tiramisu deserts were amazing. The atmosphere was amazing and the waiting personnel was very kind and available and their house wine we went for which was the chianti superiore was wonderful, combined with the location and atmosphere made it the perfect place to stop for food and drinks, prices were also very affordable considering the food quality and the location. 10 out of 10 for the experience and food quality
