My wife is pregnant and after we stood for almost an hour across the street at All’ Antico for my sandwich (she can’t eat deli meats) we crossed over to Pizza Napoli so she could grab a Pizza. They wouldn’t allow for us to sit together because I had food from somewhere else. Despite that, I sat outside on the curb while she awaited her Pizza. They told her after ordering to wait outside and after several minutes handed her Pizza to someone else that ordered after her (forgetting her). She brought it to the attention of a lady inside, which disregarded her as she started a conversation with another lady that came to say hi to her. She then asked the gentleman that initially helped her, which once again sent her outside. After she got her Pizza she brought it to me and all of the sauce and cheese was runny, it literally looked like a pool of liquid swimming on top of the dough. I brought it back inside and long story short was cursed out in Italian for simply asking if they could cook it more. The simple answer was that’s the mozzarella and it’s like that…it would be my first time ever, even here in Italy to see a sea of sauce and cheese swimming on the pizza and let alone get cursed out for simply asking if they could cook it more. So the better answer was to tell them throw it away and we walked next door to Auditore…better food and...
Read moreWe've never, ever had to pay a "cover fee" or heard of it. My friend thought it was an extra fee for specific pizza's. I thought it was for the box cover for takeaway. Apparently it was to sit down.
We regret coming here because it's a tourist trap. The pizza's were okay but nothing close to Gustapizza or many of the restaurants further from the main roads.
+edit: your reply did not adress the issue at all. You can write cover fee how many times you want and tattoo it but it is still not clear what a cover fee is, it does not exist in other countries and also not in the italian restaurants we visited.
I wrote an honest review and explained the miscommunication to you, to help you fix this issue and protect other tourists. Most of the negative reviews are about the cover fee so maybe instead of writing "cover fee"... Simply write "table fee" or "you have to pay to be served" then everyone will understand and the bad reviews will only be about the pizza.
The way you respond to all these negative reviews and completely ignore what people are trying to tell you, really shows how...
Read moreHave ordered Margherita as the indicator of cookers proficiency, but unfortunately i was faced with pizza which tomato sauce was too sour and mozzarella for the pizza wasn't as soft as it presented all over the Italy To finalize bad impression the price on the blackboard (like oferta in large letters) was 8 euros but I was charged 9.50. Recommend to look for other places in5 min walk)
And even response to my review was sort of offensive one, if the staff thinks it evident that any coverage should be put to the cost of pizza according to your blackboard design (because menu is primarily presented to guests to order drinks), I may convince you it's not (it shall not be placed at a particular pizza row), I will definitely revise my glasses but you will be better change your disingenuous attitude(telling that you were nice) and to remaster your proposition materials according to best practices of ofertas provisioning. But not sure is it easy enough for such a nice people to Google how to make user-friendly and clear...
