UPDATE** I went a second time and it was equally as AMAZING!!! everyone needs to go here this is by far the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. Also value for money?! The size of the things, the amount of flavor and quality ingredients! I really haven’t had anything as good all trip and I live to eat.
Think of the best roast pork thing you’ve ever eaten and times it by 10 and you’ll have a gist of what’s going on in the L’Antivegano. The one listed on the menu h above the L’Antivegano is also DELICIOUS. The roast beef is cooked to absolute perfection and I asked for the mushroom sauce instead of the truffle which they did happily. Lady who served me was very smiley and friendly. Can you believe it? What a wonderful...
Read moreI will fight anyone who doesn't agree this is the best sandwich in Florence - we've tried 5 highly-reviewed places, and this dominates the competition (including the infamous one next door). It takes everything All'Antico Vinaio does well (tasty meats, good fillings) and does it 2x better. This place toasts up the fresh bread and then drowns it in meat. Seriously, watch the video I'm uploading. 7 euros per sandwich but this is worth it, and there's no 60-minute line to wade through. Fantastic service, mind-blowing sandwich. Get the Magnifico (if you like mushrooms) and the Claudiana (if you love onions and scamorza, a provolone-like cheese). We're coming back...
