Our visit to Marea Seafood and Beverages on the 29th of February was a delightful leap into a world where culinary finesse meets mixology artistry. The interior of Marea is nothing short of classy—a haven of elegance with a decor that complements the sophistication of the dishes and drinks served. Each corner of the restaurant is meticulously designed, creating an ambiance that is both beautiful and inviting.
A special commendation is due for the waitress who served us that evening. Her attentiveness and warm demeanor were as exceptional as the food, ensuring that our dining experience was not only pleasant but also memorable. Her professionalism and charming service truly enhanced the atmosphere of class that Marea embodies.
The highlight of our evening was the "Assisted Navigation" Tasting Menu, paired exquisitely with an array of cocktails that were as innovative as they were delicious. Our evening commenced with a fresh and beautiful oyster, setting the stage for the maritime feast that awaited us. We began the tasting menus with the Amberjack tiradito, a ceviche-style delight paired with the refreshing Pisco mugo, a cocktail that danced on the palate with notes of mountain pine liqueur and basil. The scallops, served in a mini bun with the indulgence of truffle, bacon, and cabbage, were complemented perfectly by the Barb y ken—a daring concoction of habanero-infused tequila and mezcal.
The pièce de résistance was the Nicoise seared tuna, usually served rare, which was a masterful blend of flavors and textures, matched with the sophisticated Black daiquiri. The whipped vanilla cream with chestnuts, mandarin sauce, and a hazelnut brownie provided a sweet ending to our culinary voyage, alongside the Nocciolino cocktail, a velvety blend of hazelnut and chestnut liqueur with vodka and cream.
Priced at 50 EUR, with an option for a 30 EUR cocktail pairing, the tasting menu offered an experience that was not only palatable but also presented an exceptional value for the quality and creativity offered.
Marea is a sensory journey that I would recommend to anyone seeking a touch of class, exceptional service, and a memorable meal. Hats off to Marea for a truly outstanding...
Read moreWe were searching for restaurant with delicious seafood in Milano and fortunately found out this restaurant! Small establishment with verified menu. Either Menu with 4 special dishes, or separate but with bigger portions. We were amazed by with a subtle taste and luxurious presentation of dishes! No one dish is big, all are delicate and pretty costly, but this restaurant is about enjoyment of taste and you won’t feel hungry after, but you will leave with unforgettable impressions! We took a bottle of good white wine, 3 starters to share(prawns, tartare and oysters) and each of us took one meal and one desert! Everything was super, I have tried all of them a bit and was surprised by the taste! My octopus was super, we have tried octopus a lot before and know that it is easy to spoil the taste of it by longer cooking time or etc, but this one was perfectly cooked! I should also mention scallops burgers with scallops covered in bacon, with delicious sauce and brioche bread! In the end espresso with desert of light whipped cream and fruits! And great thanks to all who works there for clients! Truly personal service and pleasure from being...
Read moreI am sorry but our experience was a negative one. We had reserved for dinner on Easter Sunday. We found the service to be unexperienced although very polite. They seemed to not know the wines they had in the menu and the one they suggested us was just ok. The bread was inedible although they apologised and brought us a new one before we even complained. The new bread was unfortunately not fresh. We had the scallop burgers and the tuna as a starter. The bacon in the burgers was overcooked and hard to chew. The tuna was ok. For main we haf the octopus and the monkfish. Octopus was burned and we had to return it. They reacted professionally and brought a new dish but it still did not meet the expectations. The octopus was bitter and the hummus not good. The monkfish though overcooked was tasty and the best dish we had. The bill was over a 100€ even though they removed some amount for the incovenience which we...
