We stayed at the Hotel Cavour in Milan for our last night in Italy. We had been given so many recommendations for restaurants in the city center, but all of them were closed (August 2, 2018) due to season. After walking around searching for places to eat, we figured we'd "settle" for the hotel's restaurant: Conte Camillo. We wished we had gone straight there first! The salmon appetizer was delicious - the only other place we've eaten salmon that good is ALASKA! Okay, so we figured they got lucky, but surely the beef filet mignon and pesto pasta couldn't have been as good as the rest of the food during our trip. We were wrong again - IT WAS AMAZING! Best filet (seriously better than any snooty NYC steakhouse that we frequent back home). Service was just as great as the food, so attentive and polite! The only thing that was strange was the fact the it was almost completely empty during dinner hours. Definitely a HIDDEN GEM in Milan!

30.05.2024 evening We had the beef meatballs, the cooked chicken, the chocolate cake and the lemon merengue. All delicious. I nearly licked the plate. The waiter spoke good English and was very polite. The restaurant is clean, fancy, with modern paintings. I would definitely recommend this place.

Pleasantly surprised with the hotel restaurant. Full of people, very nice atmosphere and good food for the price. We had appetisers from the chef and small desserts accompanying hot drinks. 🥰

wonderful restaurant!!!!

i had the skirt steak and it was done medium rare like i wanted and VERY delicious. the honey mustard sauce is amazing! the waiter and chef are both friendly and very happy to have customers come to try their food. house pour red wine is also fantastic ♡ they also gave me meringue to help me finish my wine so i can drift off to bed :) loved my dinner and i would love to be back here when i am back...

Served me old, reheated Carbonara that onset immediate food poisoning. The Veal Milanese with potatoes was overcooked and dry with no sauce to accompany it, very disappointing after experiencing Schnitzel in Germany and Switzerland. I couldn't even wait for the bill to find an immediate bathroom. After experiencing much better food in Milan today this first food experience in Italy leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. I wouldn't do it again if they offered 50% coupons.
