Costevè Friggitoria RioMaggiore — Restaurant in Riomaggiore

SO GOOD. We loved it so much that we came EVERY night for a late night snack. To be honest, they give you so much in the cone that it was our lunch or dinner at times. We tried other places serving fried fish & snacks but they didn’t compare to this one. They also made your order fresh. We tried the shrimp, fries, onion rings, and anchovies. I recommend the anchovies!! I would also ask for an extra lemon because they give you just one slice and it’s not enough. But they’re super nice about it. Staff were always friendly too. Price is very reasonable compared to the prices I’m used to in touristy places as well as back home. I’m already missing this...

When I ask if the shrimp are with their shell the waitress tell me 2 times “no shell no shell” , finally 3 fried shrimp with their shell …. Very disappointed. for 10euro that was a mixt with squid and octopus which were ok. I should have pick the store just next to it, 1 more euro but the shrimp were without theirs shell What is even the point of fried shrimp with theirs shell beside needing a hand wash and eating a cooked shrimp with no fried dough on it … At least the squid/octopus get some fried...

I am not 100% sure about the name of this restaurant as it is labeled IL Maggiore but the receipt I received identifies it as Giammi Caffe Snc. In any case it is a nice pizza and pasta restaurant along Via Colombo street which is the main route the tourists walk in Riomaggiore. I had a good seafood pasta and a very good caprese salad with wine and water for 36 euros. Service was friendly and quick. I did think it was pricey but it is in the main...
