Horrible experience.
Staff were rude, waited for service but didn't recieve so we decided to seat ourselves.
Ordered our meals, they came out very quickly which was good but only to have had the entire contents of my plate dropped into my lap. The waiter apologised and seemed genuine and I took the matter well.
However, following this they took away my friends plate before she had finished. They tried to rush us out by bringing us the check (which enlisted the spilt meal which I was had to pay for). We looked at it and decided we would finish our drinks before we left. 1 minute later he came by and asked us to pay it. Another minute he brought out the eftpos machine asking if that was the issue. So I said ' 'so you can drop a meal all over me and charge me for it but I can't even finish my drink before I am forced to leave' Very annoyed at this point.
He started carrying on in Italian about quick turn over and how it was the other waiter who dropped the meal on me and was so rude about it. I noted that there were 5 other free tables and people who had arrived before us still seated.

Read moreOk, I sat down outside, ordered the "prefix" priced plate with a bottle of coke. EU10 for a plate of tomato sauce spaghetti. You can get the same thing all over Roma for EU5, instead. By the way, the staffs surprised me with an extra "service charge" EU1.50, which was unusual for a casual type of restaurant. Alrighty, When I say "tomato sauce", I really meant "tomato-flavored sauce" with no visible sight of tomato pieces nor other visible ingredient with a smaller portion of machine made spaghetti. You can get the same flavored sauce in your local supermarket and look for Ragu spaghetti sauce or just generic Walmart spaghetti sauce and they all taste the same to me. As mater in fact, I was so shock to eat this plate I remembered I had the spaghetti in one of the hospital I've visited and it tasted better then this place in the middle of Roma. ...
Read moreItalian on a business trip here. This place is a tourist trap, that's hardly surprising considering the location. We went in knowing this but we needed WiFi and a power outlet. Except for one waiter, the staff was rude and unwelcoming. The owner guy at the cash register seemed like he straight up hated his life, his customers and even the 50 euro bill he grabbed for an overall poor service. The spaghetti salmon and capesante were actually pretty decent. Coffee is as good as anywhere else. I'd avoid unless you're really hungry and even then I'd stick with sandwiches, certainly i would not spend 25 per person again. Btw for those complaining about the 3 euros service charge (coperto), that's pretty much the norm in Italy and it's always stated...
