We were the only customers when walked in. Service was perfunctory but ok. Very slow service but that's perhaps their efforts to be Roman. Ordered the "won ton" soup, Chinese cabbage and mushrooms, and steamed seabass. I say "won ton" soup because the won ton had a sliver (and that's being generous) of meat in each of the 4 small won tons. They must have waved a piece of mystery meat over the won tons before sealing them. And the salt level! It was gag inducing. I just figued out why i am so thirsty. Needless to say, don't order the won ton soup. The cabbage in the cabbage and mushrooms was ok. Cooked al dente, good flavor, not a salt bomb. But here again, they must have used the "waving over" technique to aportion the Chinese black mushroom(s). It was literally one, possible two very, very small mushrooms sliced extremely thinly in the dish. The bass was ok. They halved it down the middle before steaming I think which lead to a tad oversteaming. 28 euros for the fish. Not sure it was worth it. I'd say go for their lunch specials. 12 to 15 euros for starter, entree, and beverage. Cannot really recommend this place in...
Read moreA little difficult to find (down a small alley - look for the sign), but well worth it! This Chinese food is light yet flavorful and will leave you feeling satisfied and not-too-full. We started with some soup: hot and sour, which was well-balanced, and wonton, which was full-bodied (flavored with seaweed and Chinese radish pickles). We also had a variety of dishes, including the zha-jiang mian (my wife's favorite: picture Taiwanese-style spaghetti), chicken with cashew nuts (with lots of bamboo!) and Cantonese-style fried rice (light and not greasy or salty- just like home-made) and they all worked well together. Even the large bottle of sparkling water was well-priced and Jasmine tea was only €1 but they gave us an entire pot. It was whole leaf and well-proportioned. Owner speaks Italian, English, mandarin, so it's easy to communicate. Menu including German, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish...
Read moreFirst dining experience was promising. Welcoming environment and friendly service. Menu was extensive and there’s option for everyone. The quality of food is ok. I can only recommend the prawn dumpling and caramelized banana.
The special rice we ordered was a bit bland and was missing a couple of ingredients. We pointed it out and the owner immediately rectified the situation.
On our second visit they have raised the price significantly to the point where it’s really not worth it anymore. Honestly €18 for a piece of grilled calamari is a bit much. Price to portion ratio was way off for their seafood dishes.
In the photos are the menu from our first visit when the price was...
