Ok I get it you hate tourists but do you have to be rude?
My husband in I were desperate to find this place for old times sake ... and we did! Excited we went in and we were told they were closed ( we understood from our experience , it was for the afternoon) quite abruptly but took it as a culture thing. My husband asked when they eoukx reopen they said 8.
Came back like at 830 and he said sorry fully booked. I told him we just were just here and you didn’t mention it when we asked when u would reopen... u should have said something. He said we have four phone numbers and held up His fingers to Show me. He walked away and shrugged his shoulders like he didn’t give a care about us stupid tourists.
I was livid do I went in to talk to the manager and the hostess who didn’t speak a lick of English pointed to the same waiter. who by the way spoke to dome customers in Italian clearly something about me being crazy. He finally came back and I told him you were very rude and that’s not how you talk to a customer that came all this way to eat here. He said sorry ...come at 10!!! Maybe you should have said that first before you shooed me away!!!
I literally had a lump In my throat bc my husband was really looking...
Read moreOur family of 4 was very excited to dine at the restaurant that was highly recommend by our friend, restaurant owner of Rosinella at Lincoln Rd., one of the most authentic family owned Italian restaurants in Miami Beach where we live. We walked from Exedra hotel where we were staying and got to the restaurant at abot 8:30pm where we were told that the first avaiable table would be at 10:30pm even though more then half of the tables were avaiable. I asked to see inside when young guy in a suit followed me in and said: "Why don't you go next door? It's probably better for you." I asked for a manager when he told me that he was the owner and that I was not welcomed at his house. I explained how wholeheartedly his place was recomended to us by a friend from Miami Beach and his comment in front of our 7 & 11 old kids was: "This is a city, not a beach and you are not welcome here." After the most wonderful day we had in Rome, this certainly affected us. It is hard to believe that the owner of such an established place with such great reputation would act so immature & lack any respect whatsover for the potential customer. If anyone had exprienced anything similar, please let me know. Huge, huge...
Read moreA Truly "Exceptional" Roman Experience – If You Enjoy Being Robbed with Style
Ah, Dal Bolognese Roma – one of Rome’s most renowned dining establishments. Renowned, it seems, not just for its food, but for its bold creativity when it comes to pricing.
We ordered their signature dish – the famous Bolognese pasta – and asked for a half portion. A simple, reasonable request… or so we thought. Imagine our surprise when we were charged twice the menu price for a full portion, per plate. That’s right – for a half portion, we paid four times what was written on the menu.
Clearly, maths in this restaurant is more of an interpretative art form than a science.
We’ve attached the bill for reference, along with photos of the food served, so you can admire the exclusive privilege of paying luxury prices for toddler-sized portions. It’s truly impressive how a place with such a reputation can stoop to such shameless tourist exploitation.
Rome is full of amazing culinary experiences. Sadly, this wasn’t one of them – unless you're a fan of elegant daylight robbery. In that...
