My two sons and I stopped at this restaurant while on vacation. Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience while at this establishment. The restaurant was empty inside, but we were told that we could not sit inside as those seats were reserved for local customers only, and we had to sit outside where it was pretty cold. We placed our order. My 17-year-old son tried to turn on the over-table heater, and after ten minutes or so, one of the waitresses and the manager came out and said he could not touch it. My son explained to them that we were cold and they turned it on for us. We ordered 3 meals and after a short wait came and placed two of them on the table without saying a word. We assumed my 14yo sons meal would come shortly afterward and began to eat. No one ever came to the table, and after 20 minutes, i went inside to ask about his food and for drink refills. We were told that someone else ordered the last of the kitten he ordered (which is odd because no other customers were at the restaurant when we ordered and no one came back to the table to tell us it was not available or being prepared. We asked for another menu to order something different and went back to our table. After waiting another 10 minutes, no one came to the table to assist, so i went inside and asked for the check. The manager seemed irritated that i interrupted his casual conversation with a friend and printed the ticket out, lays out on the counter, and went back to his conversation without a word. I paid the bill and we left to find another place to eat. I rarely leave negative reviews, but i would highly recommend avoiding this restaurant if you are a tourist or not a local as they do not seem to care about the cursive unless they know...
Read moreHorrible host and manager (same woman). We live in the neighborhood and walked in tonight around 8:30pm. The restaurant was 1/3 full and the gentlemen up front told us they were full. After a conversation, they explained they needed the tables back at 10pm. No problem. We said we would be half an hour and just wanted a quick meal. The obnoxious lady who seemed to be the floor manager was EXTREMELY RUDE and berated her staff in front of us for even considering to seat us at one of the 10 open tables for half an hour. It was incredibly rude and uncomfortable as the 2 of us split a pizza and received no service from her scared waiters. The tall light brown haired lady running the restaurant like a Nazi should be ashamed of herself. No one used any of the tables around us during the 40 minutes we were there. And the waiters didn't come near us to ask us if we needed basics things like water or pepper or refills on wine. Just an awful, rude, and...
Read moreDear compatriots of the European Union and readers of the English speaking community, il you happen to be around piazza del Popolo and want to sit down and have a lunch or a dinner, Giando can be an option. The food is good and the service is quick and gentle. But watch out for the prices of beverages. A bottle of prosecco is good but costs fourteen euros. Pizzas are good and cheaper. Watch out also for possible noise. Giando seems to be a place of choice for young teenagers. Too much noise may inhibit relax and small talk...
