Ugh!! So disappointed. Sandwiches are great, but after being reassured in the past and again via email a couple of months ago that my nut and fish allergic son could safely have sandwiches, and that hands would be washed in between handling allergens, etc., we watched with our own eyes horrifying cross-contamination, the same hands that had just scooped a handful of walnuts was placed on top of the entire Porchetta while cutting, bread was handled with hands that had touched fish and nuts, and then placed on the panini grill. I have recommended this place to others with the same allergies and very sorry now that I did that. So, being falsely assured that the allergens wouldn’t be in our food was not helpful, and people in the food industry need to be trained on the potential deadly outcome of cross contamination. The sandwich maker who I believe may also be an owner showed a reckless disregard for this customer’s health and safety. We have eaten here in the past and thankfully did not have issues. Frustrated that another place that we thought we had found safety was anything but. After canceling two sandwiches for my myself and my son, I left my friend in there, who thought she was getting her own sandwich, and instead was given all three and paid for them. Apparently they didn’t understand my cancellation. They could not be eaten after what we saw. Do not eat here if you have life threatening allergies to nuts or seafood, it is...
Read moreThe panino tasted good and the ingredients were fresh enough. However, the way they put the panino together seemed wrong to me. The pesto kept falling off because it wasn’t smeared but rather just put on top of the cheese and it wasn’t spread probably, making it harder to eat. The minute I let go of my panino, everything spilled.
I don’t understand how vegetarian options were more expensive than the options with pork in it.
-If you are looking for a place to sit down, eat your panino and drink your coffee, it might not be the best option for you if you are traveling with more than 3+ people. Since the inside is very small and there isn’t enough place to accommodate that many people. However, I saw plenty of space outside!
+I got the copernico with integrale bread and it was toasted just enough for the cheese to melt properly. The panino wasn’t out of this world but the people who served us and took our orders were extremely nice and easygoing people who acted professionally but also very...
Read moreLocation: great, right in front of the temple, in the middle of Piazza di Pietra. Food: vegan friendly, the fillings are great, size is just right, breads are slightly on the crunchy hard side. All the ingredients are shown on their counter. Desserts are available although not made by them. Service: fast and efficient, although less chatty then most other places we've been. Have coffee elsewhere though (had better coffee) as they don't have the space for the coffee machine. Seating: two small tables. Prices: fair (considering material and location). Wifi: yes Big Tables: none
Side note: As a person who was born here, it's always great to see some small shops that are still friendly and genuine amidst all the tourist traps.
Efficienti, bellissima location, buona qualità delle materie prime, ciabatte un pochino sul dure ma ci sta. Una pausa gourmet senza dubbio da ripetere per...
