We returned to La Fiaschetta again , in May 2022 , three years after our first visit. In fact we reserved our table a week ahead and flew from Greece. Once again we enjoyed excellent food, wine and dessert. The place and the atmosphere is so warm and cozy, that really provides you with a great fulfilling sensation. For me it was more than a great dinner as I received a special proposal.
Great food, great atmosphere and unique moments shared in La Fiaschetta at the Eternal City. Thank you!
We visited Rome in February 2019. We were walking in the area and we came right across it. It is located a bit further from the main square of Campo Di Fiori, in a small narrow quiet street ..Like a small jew hidden right there. After three attempts we got lucky and found a table. It was really worth visiting.Great choice of food and wine. We tried the grilled beef with the rocket salad , grilled potatoes,a traditional roman pasta and the tiramisu of. Excellent food in a...
Read moreAfter a few days in Rome, we'd decided that the restaurants were all pretty much the same. The worse restaurants were still better than 90% of the good Italian food in the States, and the good stuff was a little better than that.
This place was a whole new tier. It was full of subtleties that really put them over the top. The olive oil with their bread was fruity, grassy, and refreshing. The wine they suggested was easily the best we'd had after a week in Rome, and their ragu was the best thing we ate on our entire trip.
Our second courses were also perfect. I tried the tuna and pesto because it sounded brave, and it was a great mix of flavors I'd never even considered. My wife's steak was very slightly short on salt, but otherwise flawless.
We never ate anywhere else twice on our entire trip, except for this place - we reserved a table right away for our final night in town to make sure we wouldn't forget how...
Read more@la_fiaschetta_ Has some of the best pasta dishes and meatballs you can find in Rome. This is a place that will satisfy all your Italian cravings.
This restaurant is not touristy and is located in Central Rome. The place itself is very cosy with warm lighting and marvellous decor with wine shelves to last for months!
I would recommend to have a feast at the place as a gift to yourself.
Ragu Bolognese is to die for. Simple and yet with such complex flavours. The taste of beef shines through with the acidity from the tomatoes cutting through the fat. Add some al dente pasta with fresh Parmesan = Heaven!
The Meatballs are the best I have ever had. Again, simple high quality ingredients cooked with care!
I definitely recommend the Tiramisu as well as it was the best of my life.
Some of this sounds too good to be true but it is because this place is! And the service is...
