I'll admit that it's a little bit gimmicky and definitely a tourist trap, but I can't help but love this cute little lemon and limoncello-themed shop. I stopped by Limon'e on a hot July afternoon, and the sorbet was the perfect cure to the horrendous Rome humidity and heat. The staffed welcomed us as we walked in and offered us a few samples of limoncello -- which were fantastic -- as we made our way to the sorbet counter. They offer four flavors: the classic sorbet, a lemon and basil sorbet, a lemon and ginger sorbet, and, of course, an adults-only limoncello sorbet. We decided to get a mix of their lemon and basil and lemon and ginger sorbets, and it was served in the most delightful little hollowed-out lemon. It was a little messy to eat, since the sorbet was already starting to melt and run down the side of the lemon before the staff even handed it to me, but it was such a fun and waste-free presentation.
Both sorbets were outstanding and super refreshing! They had a really strong, tart lemon flavor that was perfect for beating the summer heat and went wonderfully with both basil and ginger. The basil came through a bit more strongly than the ginger did, but I loved both scoops and will absolutely be paying this shop another visit the next time...
Read moreAccording to their story, my wife's wallet was taken by a man, but they did not even think about not giving the wallet to the man or checking whether it really belonged to him. It was a pink wallet, how could it possibly be his? My wife remained respectful, but I can't let this pass. How can they guarantee me that the staff didn't steal it? Only that day the cameras weren't working? Can this really be believed? What’s even more concerning is that the cameras, according to them, were not working that day, so they couldn’t provide any footage. What if your child was kidnapped or you were assaulted in the store? Then you'd have no camera footage to rely on. This is an amateur operation. My wife has lost €500, and there was hardly any support from the store. They themselves admitted that theft happens frequently there. Be cautious and avoid visiting this place because you’re likely to get robbed. We're planning to take legal action against the store. We've been left traumatized, and we were only seeking some support from the store, which they have been very lax in providing. We have been asking them for a long time to come up with a solution, but now we are going to...
Read moreThe lemon sorbet was very delicious. However, be ware of the rude customer service. I asked about a sample and I was rudely told you have to pay first while the lady was pointing at the signs. First of all, I can read the signs, however, how am I supposed to know that I actually have to order the whole thing before even sampling it. So I asked, what if I don’t like it, and she again said you have to pay first, so I reply with, can I pay for a sample? She again pointed at the signs. At this point I just paid for two for my kids but as much as I wanted something for myself I don’t buy it since this lady was so rude. So, if you are not used to paying for something that you haven’t tried, be aware that’s customary as the lady said “here you pay or no try”. Very disappointed with...
