UPDATED FOLLOWING RESPONSE: The fish meatball starter was listed as containing allergens 1 and 4; 7 was milk, which I needed to avoid. Honestly the bare minimum to expect in a restaurant is that they take care when preparing and serving your food, and the fact that the manager thinks it's acceptable to provide dairy to someone who is intolerant (we can agree to disagree over the wording used) speaks volumes about the standard of care. A simple apology would have gone a long way, but their attitude is horrendous.
We ordered food having specified that I am allergic to dairy (and having checked the allergens listed on the menu), only to find that our shared starter contained cheese. I'd taken a bite, but realised immediately and had to stop eating. My partner can eat cheese, so ate the rest to avoid waste, but this left me very anxious for the rest of the meal as they didn't seem to know what was in the food. They tried to suggest that we had misread the menu and that the allergens were correctly listed, but upon second look they conceded that there was an error. When it came to pay, we had hoped that they would take the starter off as a gesture of goodwill given that I will now be unwell, but they hadn't. After we questioned this, the manager said they wouldn't take it off as it had been eaten. So if my partner had wasted the food, they would have acknowledged that they had given dairy to someone who is allergic? Very poor customer service and a very uncomfortable experience overall, all for the sake of €9, which we just paid to get...

What a find, and I have to say, if we were staying in Rome longer we would absolutely be coming back to try the taster menu one evening.
I tried the prawns in risotto, and they were the sweetest tasting prawns, absolutely delicious. Every mouthful was a treat.
My husband had the pasta with swordfish, which was packed full of flavour.

The food was outstanding. We had the selection of raw starters and the portion was so generous.
Panko-fried anchovies are also a more-ish highlight.
We can’t wait to go back and try their pasta dishes.
They have a good selection of wines, with several available by the glass.
There was just enough English spoken as well. A true highlight on our...
