Papo e Lula Pizzeria — Restaurant in Rome

After walking through Villa Borghese in 37°C heat, we were absolutely exhausted and in need of a good place to rest and enjoy some proper Italian food. We found this charming restaurant nearby, nicely decorated, air-conditioned and with the loveliest staff.

I ordered the fried zucchini with burrata and anchovies and added a side of thin focaccia, my first time trying it that way, and the dough was absolutely perfect. Everything was fresh, flavorful and really hit the spot.

This was our second family meal in Rome and it was fantastic. The food was great, but the best part was the kindness of the servers.maybe 'Tamara' They welcomed us, a Korean family, so kindly from the beginning, and they were so kind from the food description to the alcohol guide.

Their smiles and words at every moment made me feel cared for and interested, and it made my impression of Rome as a city itself improve.

Can’t recommend this place enough! The breakfast is delicious, the pizza is the best we’ve had in Roma. Prices are truly fair. But the best of all are the people who work in this place: we came inside in first place and came back many times during our stay in Roma because of Tamara, the very welcoming and warm young lady working in the front coffee bar!
