An absolutely lovely gem in Rome with a truly personal touch of the most gracious hospitality delivered by Bruno (and by Anna, his mother). I would highly recommend booking directly with them. The location is excellent, and they are on the top floor of a 4-story building (5, if one's American). The suite I chose to stay in for my 2 weeks in Rome, Ripetta, was spacious with a large private terrace from which were visible several wonderful sights including Piazza del Popolo which is only a few steps away (which also means there are a couple of Caravaggios a few steps away...). Rarity also has a beautiful roof terrace which can provide views of some gorgeous sunsets and sunrises.
The room was elegant and well-appointed. And there was a safe, a mini-fridge, a Nespresso coffee maker, and an electric kettle(—and bowls of candy). The bed was comfortable and the black-out shades were very effective. Beyond the comforts of the room, Bruno's thoughtful attention to all needs is certainly without par. He personalizes his suggestions of places to visit and things to do based on one's interests. A delicious breakfast is served every morning and Bruno made sure to have gluten-free options available for me as I'd mentioned this dietary restriction to him in advance. Anything that was needed, Bruno was available to take care of it and even went out of his way to do so.
After I checked out and left for the airport, my flight was canceled and I had to call Bruno to ask if they had any rooms available for one more night, and, once again, he made sure that I was taken care of extremely well. Well, I could go on and on, but I'll save it for the book I'm writing ;) I can say without doubt that this was an unforgettable experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend staying here when in Rome and making it your home...
Read moreWe were very happy to be the guests at Rarity Suits in May. The host of the hotel Bruno arranged our transfer to hotel from airport which made life easier as well as our stay which was very comfortable and pleasant. Bruno and his assistant Cha were absolutely outstanding at every level. Our room was spotless clean. Electric shutter blinds were excellent to get full darkness in the room. A big balcony was a bonus for a view of Piazza del Popolo. It’s less than 5 minutes to walk there. Breakfasts on veranda were something well thought out. Bruno catered for everyone needs. For fussy eaters like me everything was perfect. My feelings were I am at home. We were really spoiled. Every morning fresh juices, fruits, delicious fresh pastries from the local bakery, coffees the way you like, unforgettable cheese scrambled eggs and a wow homemade banana bread ( cake) baked by beautiful Bruno’s wife Ariana! The location of Rarity Suits is perfect. There are several restaurants just beside the hotel, Piazza del Popolo with a magnificent Basilica of Santa Maria, where you can see works of Caravaggio, Bernini and Raphael. The host of the hotel Bruno is a very attentive person! giving answers to all our questions, he was our best tour guide, very very helpful. Bruno it’s impossible to forget hospitality of you, your family and your team and we looking forward to come back again. Martin dreaming of Six Nations rugby and I dreaming to give a hug to your...
Read moreThis is an excellent boutique hotel, run by Bruno and his team, who maintain constant communication about your stay, etc. We were greeted by Bruno personally and were offered drinks and light refreshments. There is a lovely veranda where you can have a considerable selection of food and drinks for breakfast. Overhead there is a large terrace to enjoy the views and sunshine. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have everything you need including a fridge stocked with drinks and water daily. There is a safety deposit box if you need it. An additional full length mirror in the bedroom with somewhere for the ladies to do their hair and makeup would be great so that it gives others time in the bathroom. There is an electric shutter blind to keep out daylight, and air conditioning if required. There was complimentary water/beers/wines/snack food available in the dining area. Everything in this hotel is well thought out. Bruno is the best host. He was great for providing information and advice. He was able to get links for tickets to tourist sites when we couldn't get them. He recommending going to the Trastevere area which is full of small bars and restaurants which I highly recommend. He even gave us pasta to take home!! Bruno himself is a former rugby player and is a coach now, so if you follow rugby (or even if you don't) this is the place to stay. This hotel comes highly recommended. P.S. there are 3 very good restaurants immediately...
