Pausa Caffè-Lounge — Restaurant in Rome

The best pizza, pasta and warm hospitality in all of Vatican City! While on honeymoon in Europe, we stayed in Vatican City Italy for 4 days of the last leg of or amazing trip. Our hotel was down the street from PausaCaffe Lounge. We stopped by for coffee and gelato on our first day and met the amazing loving owners. They welcomed us with so much love. Everyday during our trip, we stopped by for dinner, coffee and dessert! We ate at other several restaurants in Vatican City, but PausaCaffe Lounge is the best! I'm on holidays in Rome right now and this place looked lovely. The lady who was serving us was so nice and friendly, the food was brought out very quickly and it tasted delicious, I had the bolognese and tasted the margarita and pepperoni pizzas, the texture of the pasta was nice and the sauce tasted lovely, the pizzas were nice and juicy from the tomato sauce and bot tasted great. We found Pausa on our second last evening in Rome and we visited 4 times before we left. The nonna who runs the place, takes the orders and makes the meals is the absolute best. Her food is delicious, best tiramisu and torta della nonna (her special cake) we've had in our 9 nights in Italy. Pasta and lasagne was fantastic, I would travel all the way from South Africa just to have one spoonful.
