edited my review and changed to 3 ⭐️ I went there for the 4,8 ⭐️ they have as of today. After reading my original comment, which happened to be while I was at the restaurant, the owner realized it was me and explained me his background. I appreciated it and I think 2 stars was not fair, but 3 would be fair. The place, as described to me by the owner, is focused in quality and provides good food, which was my case, food was good, can’t deny. But in an overall review the service is something to be taken into account (from my opinion) and if not existing or not paying attention to it, it will affect the score of a place, as simple as that. Again I insist in that probably he was not having a good day or was worried about something, I won’t dare to judge and he works hard for it, which is remarkable. But even I felt he took it really personal (of course, it is his restaurant) to the point of contradicting himself saying my score affected him and was not fair and then saying he doesn’t care because has a lot of 5 stars. In my opinion, you can’t tell a customer in his face that he/she is irrelevant, which just proofs my point that your weakness is the service. I am giving my honest opinion, I don’t plan to affect businesses at all, and by the way, it has nothing to do with the nationality, we are people, it has to do with our cultural level. Wish you all the best and I hope you take feedback for improvement, it is not only to criticize a hard worker like you and not caring about the consequences. I tried to put in your shoes but you didn’t do it with me. My admiration and...
Read moreNestled in the vibrant Monti neighborhood, Pomodorum was the perfect introduction to Rome’s culinary scene for our first meal in the Eternal City. This unassuming pizzeria and pasta haven, just a short stroll from the Colosseum, delivered an authentic and memorable dining experience that set the tone for our trip. We opted for two Italian classics: spaghetti alla carbonara and a margherita pizza. The carbonara was a revelation—silky, rich, and perfectly balanced, with generous chunks of crispy guanciale and a peppery kick that honored Rome’s traditional recipe. Each bite was a creamy, savory delight, showcasing the chef’s skill in elevating simple ingredients. The margherita pizza was equally impressive, boasting a thin, chewy crust with a delightful char, topped with vibrant tomato sauce and creamy mozzarella that melted in the mouth. Its freshness and simplicity were quintessentially Italian. The atmosphere at Pomodorum is cozy and welcoming, with a no-frills charm that prioritizes the food over flashy decor. The staff, led by the warm and knowledgeable Max, was attentive and quick, making us feel right at home despite our jet-lagged arrival. Prices were reasonable, offering excellent value for such high-quality dishes. Pomodorum’s carbonara and margherita pizza were a love letter to Roman cuisine, making it a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic, heartfelt meal. We left full, happy, and...

We came to this place after our Colosseum tour so we were starving.
Just have a look at the gnocchi, so cute like mini cloud pillows ☁️ I love my Tiramisu and pasta. it was a funny experience because when I tried the pasta first bite, I told my bf I said, hmm do they not put salt in their pasta here too (because in Florence we were told stories about how they don't put salt in their bread because they didn't wanna pay salty tax). Anyway, I took a 2nd bite with the bacon, my God, my mind was blown because now I understand there wasn't much salt in the pasta sauce itself because if you eat it with the salted crispy bacon, everything just makes sense! I ordered this because it says spicy tomato sauce but it wasn't spicy enough for me I wish it was a bit spicier, also i wish the proportion of the pasta and bacon can be more balanced for me I feel they could do lesser pasta with that amount of bacon because I had to really cherish the bacon bit by bit because when I finished the bacon there was still a lot of pasta left but I didn't finish because there wasn't much taste to it.
I would still come back though because it was...
