Do not eat here! I would give it 0 stars. I never write bad reviews but I have to let the public know why they will have a terrible experience if they come here. My boyfriend and I stopped here for lunch. The moment we stepped in, the waiter didn’t greet us or say a word to us, he just pointed in or out as to whether we wanted to be seated outside or inside. We decided to sit inside and placed an order for a margarita pizza, sausage & broccoli pizza, and 2 beers. The beers never came, even tho we gently reminded two different waiters TWICE. We felt super ignored, especially as I witnessed a man that came in 30 min after us get served pizza, beer, and dessert immediately after he sat down. Our pizza took very long to come out. And when it did, it looked terrible. It wasn’t even the right pizza, they gave us a sausage & mushroom pizza without saying anything. It was super oily, with a huge puddle of grease sitting in the center of the pizza. Both pizzas tasted bland and not fresh - pretty sure they were frozen. We could only eat 20% of it. The two male waiters continued to ignore us. Once we realized the beers were not coming, we decided to ask for the check. I kindly asked one waiter and he said ok but then never came back after passing our table so many times. I decided to ask the other waiter for the check, and when that happened, BOTH of the men told me loudly to “Relax!” (And not in an endearing way.) I’ve been a waiter before - that is not the way to speak to a customer in any culture. It was extremely rude and I felt super misogynist vibes from both of them. One of the men had the audacity to tell me a second time to “Relax” after passing my table again when I didn’t say anything the first time - I suspect he might be the owner too. Plus, the restaurant was nearly empty. When the bill finally came, we were shocked to see they still charged us for the beers that never came. And they even included a 2 euros per person service charge. We got the bill corrected and paid. The staff didn’t say anything about our uneaten pizzas, they simply didn’t care to ask or say sorry about the beers. I have never felt so ignored in a restaurant. My boyfriend and I were the only people of color at this restaurant. We couldn’t help but feel they either didn’t like us because we were tourists or because we were Asian. Stay away from this place. Bad food, expensive, and extremely...
Read moreGreatly disappointed! My mom and I came here in 2019 and absolutely loved it! The food had been amazing, the best I'd ever had, and the service was great with friendly servers. We had such a good experience we decided to leave a good tip and came back a second time in our 3 day trip. This restaurant was one of the reasons my husband and I decided to go to Rome and I am so disappointed in the severe decline in both food and service.
We went at 20:00 and the place was busy but not full, so we weren't expecting super speedy service, but this was pretty bad. We were sat at a table for 4 in the corner (we weren't asked if we preferred an outside table despite there being one available). The 2 seats against the wall were difficult to get in and we like sitting next to each other so we sat on the same side away from the wall.
We waited about 10 minutes and finally a waiter came to take our food and drink order. Afterwards, he made a fuss about us sitting next to each other, taking up a 4 seat table. We explained that we were instructed to sit there and offered to move to a smaller table (we hadn't used any of the place settings), but he said no. We then waited another 10 minutes to even get our drinks (despite ordering l'acqua naturale we were given a 3 euro bottle of mineral water). We were hungry and didn't even get a bread basket, even though every other table was given one. We didn't get our food until probably 20 minutes later. It was served by the man who had seated us and once again we asked if they wanted us to move, but he said we were fine (the restaurant was even emptier by now).
Then came the greatest disappointment - the food. I had been waiting 4 years for this meal and it was incredibly mediocre! I don't think we will be getting food poisoning, but it was definitely not worth the 41 euros paid for it (with a 4 euro service fee).
My recommendation is to skip this and go to Tosca around the...
Read moreNo matter how hard it is, but I don't want to be silent and I have to leave my feedback. I flew to Rome with my daughter during the Catholic Easter. And it was my only possible weekend, after several months of constant work. I really wanted to spend them joyfully and pleasantly, and not regret anything. But when we got to Rome, after a long journey, we wanted to have a snack before going to the hotel. We found a nice restaurant with tables on the street. We sat down at a table. The waiter brought the menu and asked what we would drink. We said water. He walked away from us with not very pleasant expressions on his face. When we chose a pizza, the waiter came up and again asked what we would drink, we again said water and the name of the pizza. And when he walked away, he was saying something to himself in Italian. Another waiter brought the water. Because that waiter didn't want to serve us and handed us over to another. Then they brought us a completely cold pizza. You can imagine, it was a terrible look, like a sandwich, only big and as if it was made by a child. I couldn't stand this attitude. I said bring the bill. They brought a bill for 17 euros. I wanted to pay by card. The waiter ran around with my card, then said that they did not catch the Internet, I put 20 euros on the table and left. I came to the hotel, sobbing. And oh gods, a real compassionate Italian man at the reception decided to help us. He said that since we are Ukrainians and he sympathizes with us, the food is free (both breakfast and lunch and dinner). After all, not everyone in Italy is brought up as a follower of Hitler. There is someone who respects and sympathizes with our grief. And we stayed hungry that day and also gave a terrible service of 20 euros....
