Brilliant Indian food. Must visit place for all foodies! Definitely amongst the top 5 I have had outside India. I hear the chef learnt his craft in Ludhiana. It shows in every bite of food. The service kicked off with crisp papad served with 4 chutneys. Paneer tikka was amazing. Spiced well, grilled superbly. Main course of Shahi Paneer, Palak Paneer and Butter Chicken were all super tasty. The chicken in particular was cooked exceedingly well, neither over nor under, and soaked in a brilliantly flavoured makhani gravy. Got too busy with the food - forgot to click more photos after the initial photos of the beer! 😅 Well done Chef and staff! You won our hearts. Update: We got our remaining food packed and were very disappointed by the packaging: 1) Non-veg and veg food were packed in the same container despite us specifically requesting them to be separate (50% of our family is pure vegetarian). My daughter loved the Shahi Paneer but wasn’t able to eat it later because it had been mixed with Chicken. 2) The containers are flimsy aluminium foil containers with paper lids which can be used for dry food, not gravies. A lot of the food spilled out of the containers before we reached our hotel. Due to this incomprehensible post restaurant experience, I had to readjust my star rating.

Outstanding food with a few vegan options and ok service. Speaking as someone born in India and having lived there for most of my life, Saaz offers some of the best Indian / Pakistani cuisine I've ever enjoyed. Of particular note is the bread selection. Piping hot, delicious peshaavri naans stuffed with pistachio - so good a repeat order was placed - and perfect aloo parathas with a thin, fine later of potatoes simply stole the show. So often, restaurants can ruin parathas with excessive oil and over stuffing, that was delightfully not the case here. The vegetable pulao was a fabulous accompaniment to the mains; gentle and flavourful. In terms of mains, both the mixed vegetable curry and the aloo matar were excellent. We were restricted only by our appetites, and wish we could have sampled more of the food. Despite it being very quiet in the afternoon, it took a while for the food to arrive - which to be fair was absolutely worth it, given such quality and freshness. The service was at best unremarkable. With better hospitality, this restaurant will really find itself doubling in popularity as their chefs truly know what they're doing. Our sincere compliments to the chef! The restaurant itself looks well appointed and is elegantly furnished.

Was visiting Rome and was sightseeing in the area when I found this nearby Indian restaurant. We went in and ordered a Saag Lamb (spinach and lamb curry) with Jeera Rice. I wanted some tea and a cold drink too, like a Fanta. But the waiter asked in confusion, "you want hot and cold drink?". Anyway, I ended up getting a tea and a sweet lassi. The curry and rice I had nothing to complain about, nothing spectacular but good tasting. Nothing bad to say about it. The tea was fine too. The sweet lassi, however, was missing the sweet from it. I am not sure if that's how they serve it or if they had forgotten to add sweetener/sugar. We had to remind the waiter about our bottle of water after he had served everything else and we had started eating. Seemed he had forgotten the water altogether. My brothers ordered Biryani. Usually this dish comes with some sauce or a raita, but they were not served anything more than the rice dish. The interior looked nice and welcoming with good Bollywood music playing at the back.

Impressive Service on a Busy Christmas Evening!

As a restaurant owner myself, I understand how challenging it can be to manage a fully packed restaurant, especially on a festive evening like Christmas. I visited Saaz Restaurant for dinner, and despite the holiday rush, the experience was absolutely commendable.

One person who truly stood out was Adiy, a remarkable young guy with exceptional communication and management skills. From the moment we sat down, Adiy ensured we were comfortable and well-attended. Despite the heavy crowd, he managed orders efficiently, frequently checked on us, and made us feel valued as customers. His ability to handle multiple tasks with such ease and professionalism was highly impressive.

Another staff member, whose name I didn’t catch, also provided excellent service. He was quick and attentive, ensuring that everything was served without unnecessary delays. While the food took about 15-20 minutes to arrive, it was understandable given the rush, and the staff made sure to keep us informed, which I greatly appreciated.

When the food arrived, it was absolutely worth the wait—delicious, authentic, and perfectly prepared. Each dish reflected the care and expertise of the kitchen team, even during such a busy evening.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience and left feeling inspired by Adiy’s exceptional service. As someone who understands the intricacies of this industry, I can confidently say that Saaz restaurant is doing something very special. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable...

Disappointing experience all around.

We had high hopes for this restaurant during our visit to Rome, but unfortunately, it fell short on several fronts. Despite having a reservation for 11 people, we arrived on time only to find that our table had been given away. After a long day of sightseeing, this was not the welcome we expected. We managed to sort out the seating ourselves, mainly because the kids were hungry and we didn’t want to escalate the situation. The food, sadly, did not redeem the experience. The "chicken digging masala" was advertised as chicken tikka masala, but it bore little resemblance to the classic dish. Instead of a creamy, tomato-based sauce, it was a mix of onions and peppers with a completely different flavor profile. The lamb dish we ordered was also disappointing—tough and lacking in flavor. The naan was overly crispy, and many dishes had an overpowering mint flavor that clashed with traditional Indian spices. Most concerning was the use of mint in the biryani, which significantly altered the dish in a way that didn’t work at all. It also seemed like the same base seasoning was used across multiple dishes, which is not typical of authentic Indian cuisine where each dish should have its own distinct flavor. Overall, this restaurant did not meet our expectations for Indian food, and I would not recommend it to those looking for a genuine Indian...
