For a Michelin-star restaurant, this was incredibly disappointing. We were guests in the hotel, asked for a reservation for 8:30p and were told “no, 8:15p.” Normally, not a problem… except there was only one entire table occupied at the restaurant when we arrived. After dining here, I now know why the tables were empty. Where do I start?
€10 cover charge per person to “cover things like table linens and silverware.” The bill was €300+, so this coperto was greedy and excessive food was incredibly small portions and bland. waitstaff had no clue what was on the plates. Had to ask the head waiter to ask which seat got which dish and explain what was in the dish (lol) the waitstaff was TOO helpful. Hovered over us and kept asking what we wanted to order. Checked in every few minutes to ask how things were going, at times interrupting our conversation. wine pours were small, and glasses of wine were excessively priced the bill was wrong: we got charged an extra coperto / cover charge. Took THREE times for the waitstaff to get the updated math right on the bill €9 for a bottle of still water? What in the actual…
DO NOT go here. It was our worst dining experience in Italy (and one of the most expensive). Incredibly disappointing. I’m shocked this place is still open and doing business. The Michelin guide got...
Read moreExtremely bad management and service at this place. We had a reservation, and travelled all the way from Austria to spend a birthday dinner at the restaurant. After confirming the reservation twice 2 months before, we showed up on the evening, only to be told that there suddenly was a group event in the restaurant and that our reservation had been cancelled. Without telling us before! Which left us stranded on a Saturday evening with no chance of finding another restaurant. Upon complaining to the restaurant's lead waiter, we were not offered any solution but only told to "be quiet", which was extremely rude. Not only had they ruined an important evening by mismanagement and bad processes, but also treated us with disrespect. Not something to tolerate from one of the most expensive restaurants in...
Read moreWe stayed at the hotel and had many drinks and our last lunch in Venice here. The food was very fresh, flavorful and good value considering the level of service and views of the main canal. We regretted not having more meals here. We ate at a few local places near the hotel and Antinoo’s is leagues ahead of them. The seafood spaghetti and mixed fried seafood was wonderful. Unbeatable views and ambiance. This is the place for drinks and meals on this side...
