TLDR; Unacceptable Experience - Subpar Food and Service
My dining experience at Osteria Barababao was far from satisfactory. The highlight of my disappointment was the cold lasagne I was served. Even more disappointing was the response to my complaint – instead of preparing a fresh dish, the staff opted to reheat the same lasagne in the microwave.
This careless approach to customer concerns speaks volumes about the restaurant's attitude towards quality and service. A cold and reheated lasagne is a clear indication of subpar culinary standards. As a diner, I expect freshly prepared meals and a reasonable response to feedback.
The lack of effort to rectify the situation left me feeling disregarded and undervalued as a customer. A reputable establishment would have taken immediate steps to address the issue, ensuring that their patrons leave with a positive impression.
I believe that sharing my experience is essential to help others make informed decisions. I sincerely hope that Osteria Barababao takes this feedback constructively and makes the necessary improvements. Until then, I advise potential customers to reconsider their dining choice. Your time and money are better spent elsewhere, where your satisfaction is...
Read moreThis place is a scam and racist. My partner, Australian, and I, Asian, ordered 1 pizza, just for a morning snack at around 10am (not peak hours) since we've been walking around the area since 6am we are tired and hungry. We chose to sat down in their outdoor seating since it was empty, yes was empty when we arrive. I understand that you may have expectations that people would order a lot in your restaurant but that was not our preferrence at that time. It was still 10 am and we just want a snack of pizza and a place to relax and sit down. The pizza as advertized outside their store and from their Menu is only Eur 13. When our bill came it was Eur 17, from an extra Eur 4 for SERVICE. Like what? that's 1/3 of our pizza cost already. And mind you, you did not gave us water when we sat down, neither complimentary bread. The Italian servers also didn't want to speak to us cuz we only speak english. When we are about to leave, another Italian couple sat down next to us and ordered main course maybe and yes, they were served well like proper humans -- food, water, and complimentary bread. Are we not humans for ordering just...
Read moreSo here’s our experience. We were in a rush to find a restaurant once we found out they all close pretty soon (and it was past 21 already). We’ve seen some nice we wanted to return to🤌 but on our way there, a waitor caught our glimpse and lured us into his restaurant😏, with the words, “this one’s better”. So we thought why not and went along. Ordered pizza, wine, exchanged jokes and all seemed relaxed and funny. Specifically we asked about the closing time but instead of a normal answer, we got another funny and teasing response. So we took our time and enjoyed our dinner, being eaten by mosquitos, and thinking (according to internet) we had at least until 23h to finish🕺. Two waitors left, and suddenly (22:29?) the third waitor approached our table, took our plates without a single word (my unfinished pizza too😪) I asked if we had until 23 and he said “no, actually, we close in 10 mins.” I asked if we could keep the bottle of wine on which he agreed and then he dropped the bill. Sooo pretty mad, didn’t appreciate the...
