Wow, what an experience! We were there early, just when they open at 5pm (did a reservation via their Instagram account [for reservations only]) but we were the only ones - nice! There's a menu in English for the main, recommended dishes, so we went with some of those. Splurged a bit, as it isn't that cheap. Had warm sake that is served with a dried fish in it, and for which you can get refills at a reduced price. Had a sashimi plate, some very tender beef, onigiri, ochazuke, and then the really special (and most expensive, unbeknownst to us at the time) grilled fish. There's a fish of the day option, and you select out of three - presented to you - that have been salted and dried. We went with the one in the middle, which was called Nodoguro (ใƒŽใƒ‰ใ‚ฐใƒญ), or Akamatsu (ใ‚ขใ‚ซใƒ ใƒ„) - the blackthroat seaperch, or rosy seabass. It's a top choice for sashimi, and apparently quite difficult to catch, which makes it a real catch, haha. And grilled - wow, so tender...

One of the best meals we have had during our trip! We had grilled fish, oyster, uni, sashimi, beef, chicken, veggie, onigiri and mitarashi mochi to end. Everything was so delicious, seafood was very fresh, chicken meatball was yummy! The staff were all very friendly and since it is a non-smoking restaurant so it was very kid-friendly for our 6 year old kid to dine in. With such good quality food, the price is definitely a good value for money. Would definitely visit again next time we are...

This was my second time in Fukuoka, and also my second visit to this restaurant. So far, it has outshined every other place weโ€™ve tried in the city.

Nearly every dish is not only delicious but thoughtfully prepared, full of detail and care โ€” definitely Michelin one-star quality. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, and thereโ€™s no difference in how they treat foreign guests, which made the experience even more comfortable.

Highly recommend the vinegar-marinated oysters, various ichiyaboshi (overnight dried fish), and grilled beef rump. The seafood is fresh and abundant โ€” you can order with confidence; itโ€™s hard to go wrong here.

This time, we also tried the grilled chicken platter. At just 600 yen per person, itโ€™s an incredible deal. The chicken was perfectly grilled, juicy, and naturally sweet.

For drinks, I recommend the lemon shochu sour โ€” light, crisp, and not too sweet. Finishing the meal with a bowl of ochazuke full of smoky aroma and umami was the perfect end to a great dinner.

It seems like they accept online reservations as well. Highly...

Seriously the best food and service! When we arrived it looked full and thought we were going to be turned away, but we only waited 5 mins. They speak English which was super helpful, but the staff was incredibly friendly. The food was absolutely the best I had in my whole trip - lots of interesting things to try from the Japanese menu - a gem ๐Ÿ’Ž
