Great burgers. Really overpriced. I've been in Hiroshima a week. We ate out about 10 times. This simple lunch was our most expensive meal. 5000 yen for two non alcoholic drinks, two burgers and we shared fries.... And we got the cheap burgers. Did I already mention we split an order of fries.

All that being said the burgers were really good.

It's pretty funny that they have a thing on the menu saying that burgers are certified by Doug, but Doug certainly did NOT proof read any of the menus. Lots of spelling errors. Branch (not Brunch). Highboll (not highball). Also just a note if you set their online menu to English, it's sull 75% Japanese. If you can read kana, you will be fine.

I am so glad I didn't order their more expensive burgers. I would bet hard cash they taste...

I got Doug's cheeseburger and recommended onion rings. They were both so good and let me tell you I have never had crispier onion rings. Plus they had a unique umami flavour to them that you don't get with typical onion rings. The food also came out quite fast. I only just finished reading the placemat when my meal arrived. The atmosphere is modern and open but it felt weird to sit right by the window and have passersby look right at you. The price of the burger combo (+ drink and side) was quite pricey, almost ¥2000, but to be fair I came out very full. My waiter was also super polite and even confirmed if I knew Japanese or not before diving into explaining the menu.

I would like to come back to try the other half of the restaurant's food, such as the pastas and...

Fantastic place! I'm a big fan of everything this restaurant is and stands for.

They drop off a placemat to read while you wait for your food that goes into the backstory of the restaurant and why it was founded and who Doug is. I felt like I was inducted into the family because I now know all of this behind the scenes info :)

Then the food! Delicious. I had Doug's recommended course; the cheese burger, onion rings, and a coffee. The onion rings were huge slices of onion with the most delicious batter, and the first bite of my burger put me into a food trance. So good.

Great place. Great food. Great quality. Great portion sizes. Great staff (very, very polite even when it's busy). Great atmosphere. Great location....
