My wife and I spotted this place during the day and she was curious for us to try it, the vibe inside looked cool even with sparse clientele. We came back in the evening for dinner and it was such an incredible experience!
The atmosphere was warm and personal, it was earthy and there was a light smokiness from the grill the chef was using to prepare the food, right before our eyes. We do not speak Japanese, so we had a bit of difficulty reading the menu(which doesn’t have many translations available as it is still a very new restaurant, the menu is hand-written!). The chef and the staff were patient to try to communicate past the language barrier and help us order something we would like. We had a light meal, I had a wagyu beef filet and my wife had some of their in-house-made tofu, which I also sampled and it was incredible. We also split the grilled zucchini, which was very good as well. It was pretty busy while we were there, which contributed to the fun atmosphere: other patrons were chatting and having a fun and personal conversation with each other and the chef, while the chef was busy busy busy grabbing ingredients, cutting and slicing and preparing them, tossing them on the grill, and a new scent of smoke would subtly waft up and fill the room. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was divine. More than anything it was just such a memorable and intimate experience to eat here, I’m so grateful we came back to try it.

✍️ 7月14日にオープンした"鬼とうふ"さん
嵐山などにある"八十八良葉舎"や、五条にある"糖太朗"の系列店
「国産の大豆」をテーマにされてて、 自家製豆腐は毎朝店内で大豆から搾って作ってるらしい、、! お昼はその豆腐を使ったスイーツやご飯、夜は豆腐をメインとする健康と両立した居酒屋さんとして営業されてます。
今回はオープン初日にランチで来店しました🙌 噂を聞きつけて通りすがりで入ってくる人もちらほらいらっしゃいました🚶♀️💨
現時点で頼めるランチメニューは "鬼とうふランチ"のみ。 豆腐焼豚丼、小鉢2皿、油揚げ味噌汁、ミニ豆花が揃った盛りだくさんの定食です✨
豆腐焼豚丼には大きくてぶっ厚い木綿豆腐! 焼豚も味玉も染み染みでヘルシーなのに、 ボリューミーで満足感がすごいっ!!✨
小鉢は五目豆と自家製絹豆腐。 プルップルですっごい滑らかです、、! だけどお箸で持ち上げても崩れないの、!
お味噌汁にも自家製の油揚げが入ってて、 大豆の旨味が汁に溶け込んでる〜
デザートとしても丁度いいミニ豆花は 単品のものより小さくて食後にぴったり。 豆花自体は自然な甘味があって、 スイーツだけど豆腐感があってなんだか不思議! タピオカの甘さが良い感じです💫
カフェメニューのかき氷や豆花は シンプルなプレーンをベースに自分の好きなトッピングを追加してアレンジできる✨ 今の時期は桃とかもあったーー!!! 今回はお腹いっぱいで食べれなかったので、今度はカフェ利用で再訪問したいと思います☺️
