This was an unexpected five star experience. I chose this restaurant because it was close to where we were staying and I was blown away by the excellent service and the amazing food. When you arrive, you walk down a beautiful little path, then you are greeted and led to a beautiful traditional Japanese room, complete with tatami floors and wood carved furniture. We had the most gracious host greet us and we were given menus that fortunately had pictures to compensate for our limited Japanese. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but it was well worth it when we saw how beautifully the food was presented in traditional bowls and plates. Even better than the presentation was the taste. Wow! What a delight to taste and sample each item. I don’t even know what some of it was, but if you want a food experience, come to this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!
