Italian Bar Treotto - Shijo Omiya — Restaurant in Kyoto

Just finished having dinner there this evening. Really lovely staff! They couldn’t have been nicer and were a credit to the restaurant! Food was very good too! Simple and tasty Italian food. Portion sizes were a little small but it reflects the price and is made up by giving free Bagna Caude. You need to pay a table charge too per person but honestly it’s reasonable and didn’t take away from the meal! Staff were chatty and spoke very good English! Food was good but honestly the seating ruined it for me unfortunately. The barrel seats are so uncomfortable you can’t put your legs under and the stools sit very high compared to the table. It’s hard to enjoy a nice meal when you’re so uncomfortable I wish they would replace these seats with normal tables. The food here is delicious and the service is excellent. I had a caesar salad and their meat platter. It was an immense amount of food as would be expected at an Italian restaurant.
