Kind of terrible but pretty memorable experience. This was the only time I truly felt unwelcome as a foreigner in Japan. Similarly to some of the other reviewers, we were also sat in the back of the place next to the fridge and boxes, ie. out of sight, even though all the tables in the front were empty when we came. The big group of (english speaking) tourists who came a little bit later were also sa in the back next to us , front tables still empty. We found it odd and little bit funny to begin with but after realizing, the staff truly put only Japanese people in the front, it felt awkward. Nevertheless, we got English menu and ordered pancakes with no problem. The food was mediocre at best. My friend got caramel pancakes and coffee jelly, which she said was both okay. I mean the food did not look at all like the things showcased in the window of the store but it was okay. I got the strawberry banana pancakes and was dissappointed to find out that the strawberries were frozen solid. I understand that not every shop uses fresh strawberries, but getting lukewarm pancakes with frozen strawberries on top is not great. They were not thawed at all and biting into ice cold hard strawberry is not the experience I was looking for. Overall not a great experiece for the price, there are other cafes and pancake places at the station worth visiting. We just had the luck to pick out the worst one of the bunch.

I am not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. We were the first customers at 8am on our way to Nara. They gave us the English menus without asking. We are a group of 5 and were seated in the front next to the window with a clear view of everyone walking by. The server repeated our order at the end and our order was served correctly. Both the Japanese and English menu clearly lists which drinks come free as a package. Even with the more favorable exchange rate, the meal did feel a little bit more expensive than it should be but there is the convenience that it is in the subway station. The tea latte was separate which we knew about because we read the menu. The mango pancakes came with ice cream, while the black sugar caramel came with whipped cream. The chocolate banana pancake came with both ice cream and whipped cream. The pancakes were light and fluffy. I didn’t care for the whipped cream, which was more like the whipped cream icing that is on Japanese cakes. All in all, service was quick and they were efficient.

NEVER EVER FORGET HOW BAD EXPERIENCE IT WAS!!! DISHONEST!!! I’ve been to Japan for more than 10 times and it was the first time to have such rude and dishonest customer service and awful food!!! The breakfast supposed to serve with free drink and we got the Latte coffee. And when the time the bill came, we were extra charge 750*2 = 1500 yen for the drinks… We then asked the staff, she then told us the free drink only come with iced / hot coffee, not including Latte coffee.. the thing was: 1. They should let us know if they are not included in the free list and see if we still want to order 2. Even we ordered extra paid drinks, we should still have 2 free drinks with the breakfast set, staff should ask what drinks we want / we only need 1 drink!!! Lastly, we argued with the staff and they agreed to free us the coffee. However, AWEFUL FOOD too….. I couldn’t believe that we nearly spent such $$$ 3440 yen!!! money just these awful food if we didn’t complain about the drinks. See the photos : display vs real food…….

Coming from the states, pancakes are something we have on the regular, this place was no different. Pretty standard pancakes and not the ones advertised outside the store. We expected the fluffy pancakes we see from social media but this definitely was not it. The melon soda was basically half syrup and half soda lol tasted like cough medicine. The banana juice was pretty solid though. Now for the service, being in Japan for a few days I have nothing but compliments for the service from the food industry in this country, however, this place definitely changed our minds. The staff was rude, for example, when we attempted to enter we were told to "STOP" to even enter the store (should have been the first red flag) and then they proceeded to spray out hand with disinfectant spray as if we're "dirty" but my wife and I chalked it up to them being clean but the conversation was definitely reminiscent of "ru done yet? And scoff" very unwelcoming establishment. Please try any other cafe or stores lol wayyyy better service and food.

Edit: on the way out I wanted to throw out an empty bottle and had left it on the table. Typically the restaurants are good about collecting the trash since there aren't many bins available. As I was leaving the waitress hands me the bottle back lol. Please don't...

Incredibly falsely advertised! We chose this place based on the display food, the pancakes looked a good size and the “premium pancakes” looked even better. The prices seemed reasonable as well! We get seated and are told the “premium pancakes” are a lunch only menu item(we got there around 10:15am)..so most of us get the plain pancake and drink set, one of us gets the curry and salad set. The pancakes were much much smaller than advertised, and they gave one small cup of syrup for two sets of pancakes, when we asked for a second syrup, assuming they just forgot the second one, they said “no that is for two” needless to say, they pancakes were dry. The drinks we got (iced coffee, iced milk tea, apple juice) tasted watered down. Like actual water had been added. The curry came but no salad, we brushed it off because we just wanted to leave at this point. When the bill came they still charged the salad curry combo price instead of the curry on its own price. We had this fixed at the register, but after the cashier had a somewhat lengthy conversation with our waitress about it.

I am sure almost any other of the many restaurants near by will be more...
