We visited the Yoshinoya at Kyoto Hachijo-guchi and ordered the unagi (eel) set meal — a decision we quickly came to regret. One of our family members ended up with a sharp bone lodged in her throat, requiring a hospital visit after we returned home.

I hope the owner can check my review and improve the...

The staff that attended to us was kind and can speak English, which was a huge plus! It’s a short walk from Kyoto station and my accommodation....
