BEST BAR EVER!

My girlfriend and I came on a Wednesday night around 8pm without reservations. We were immediately greeted warmly by the host who kindly notified us that the bar was full. She told us (in the sweetest and friendliest manner) that we could either wait or come back later around 9pm. We decided to wait and this ended up being one of the best decisions we have ever made. After about 10 minutes, a couple left the bar and we were invited by the host to take these seats. These were the 2 end seats at the far right of the bar since we had no reservations, but these seats honestly became the best seats (more to come).

As soon as we sat down, we were greeted by Max the bartender who was so nice and friendly. He asked if we had any questions about the menu or specifically about drink recommendations. We ordered the Smoking Alexander and a rose Cassis. They were both delicious. I recommend the Smoking Alexander if you enjoy a show (with smoke from liquid nitrogen).

As the night progressed, a new bartender Takashi started to take over our side of the bar. He was hands down the best bartender we have ever experienced. He was so friendly and did amazing bar tricks while making drinks. He welcomed us filming him with our phones and seemed to always smile and put on a show for our phone cameras. All of the drinks (and food) were amazing, and the customer service was THE BEST. Everyone at the bar was respectful and kind. We ended up spending 4 hours at the bar and we did not want to leave! Drink and food prices were very reasonable, and I would have paid triple the amount that we did after the service we got!

It ends up that Takashi is also the owner/manager and was so humble and kind throughout the night. He even walked us out of the bar and bowed as we said goodbye.

This was an experience we will never forget and will cherish for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend this bar to anyone from all backgrounds and ethnicities. Was visiting the Dotonburi area and stumbled across this incredible cocktail bar. They have an extensive list with a great variety of cocktails, they honestly have a drink for everyone. Each of the 6 cocktails I tried were amazing and on top of that very aesthetic. The bar tenders are very polite and friendly and put on a great show when making the drinks, they take a lot of pride in their work and it clearly shows in the final result. The owner of the bar is also very down to earth, he even took the time to explain how each drink was made and even made us the "Japanese Botanist" drink.

Be aware that sitting at the bar requires a 990 yen fee to start.

Their way of making drinks and serving them is a unique concept I have never seen before.

The atmosphere of the bar is also very nice, perfect for a romantic date night out. To add, I saw a previous review which stated that the bar failed to achieve a "library theme" - clearly this reviewer misunderstood the context of the term "library" here, the bar is moreso demonstrating a "library" or large list of different drinks to choose from rather than trying to achieve a library book setting.

No table charge and the drinks are so cool and really taste delicious. The ambience was good and their customer service was one of the most genuine services I've experienced in Japan. I walked in at 6pm on a Friday without a reservation, worried that I might be turned away. They were fully booked later in the night but ushered me in warmly and gave me a counter seat. I visited this bar on my own and as a foreigner I can't speak fluent Japanese, so usually bartenders are abit standoffish and don't try to converse with me unless it is for orders. The bartenders here were quite nice for trying to talk to converse with me, abit mines in broken Japanese and his in broken English. It helped me to settle my nerves and enjoy my drink properly. They also joked around and presented drinks with dramatic flair which added to the atmosphere.

The drinks are really tasty and Instagrammable. There's also a bartending show on Sat and Sun nights so if you want to catch that make sure to reserve in advance. If I ever visit Osaka again this place is a definite must-visit. Thank you for the...
