A store let down by its staff.
I’m sure the coffee will taste great. The store had a large variety of beans at good prices, approx ¥1000/100gms
Unfortunately the service was not of good quality. Three staff were in attendance, with two staff swapping between order taking and coffee. I asked which beans were of a natural process and one staff member simply pointed to the other staff member who had a small clip board of different country origins.
The person was taking another customer’s order at the time. I then waited to speak with her but as soon as she finished with the customer, she went off and made other coffees. After waiting two minutes, feeling ignored, I finally got the chance to speak with the person, who was unaware of my question or need to order. She was also unsure as to the beans that were being sold, so I resorted to simply asking for 200gms of the Guatemala beans (the store window said Guatemala natural).
The store has potential but is let down by poor staff who don’t have product knowledge or attentiveness.
I’d instead recommend The Coffee Market Lab, though not speaking English that well, they were fantastic in assisting with any questions and patient to help explain each variety. They also offer two varieties of...

So choosing to ignore the attitude to taste good looking ice cream and coffee and spending 1400 yen is apparently not enough to deserve the respect that should be observed towards any client : you are literally yelled at like a two years old tempting to pile the plates and cleaning previous clients’ mess (that the staff did not have time to clean up... trying to help...) on the last available table to sit down in order to use your computer quietly. Obviously an over rated ONE STAR... And don’t tell me about a cultural difference I was accompanied by a local who was as shocked as...
Read moreThe quality of the coffee at this shop falls squarely in the realm of mediocrity – neither impressively good nor memorably bad. While the design of the shop may be aesthetically pleasing, the glaring issue lies in the staff's discriminatory attitude. Japanese customers are treated with warmth and hospitality, while foreigners are met with blatant disregard and unwelcoming behavior.
The staff's demeanor towards non-Japanese patrons is dismissive and disrespectful, creating an atmosphere of exclusion and discomfort. The subtle yet unmistakable cues in their language and behavior convey a clear message: foreigners are not valued customers.
I think this coffee shop should put up a sign that only serves Japanese people, it would be truer to the spirit...
