I found an open appointment on late notice, for the end of the day. It was a bit difficult with Google translate to understand all of the options. I booked a style consult (for first time visitors) and extension removal because I had difficulty finding the option to specify extensions. This seemed like it gave us the amount of time needed in the end, but we went over what was needed and how much it would cost before beginning.

I enjoyed my dry manicure. Overall Miyuu was very gentle and detail oriented. She took her time to make sure each nail looked right from multiple angles which I really appreciated. I don’t think using google translate impeded the appointment in any way. All in I spent 17,000 yen. I would’ve expected to spend similarly in the US but I really loved seeing all the custom mixing for the colors and the art she did. I’d definitely just come back the next time I travel internationally.

Retention is actually insane. My nails are still holding on after 2 months !! There has not been hint of chipping or lifting (especially in the cuticle area!) I did my gel on my natural nails. They are very prone to breakage especially in my thumbs. This is the strongest my nails have ever felt! No breakage at all!! (The picture of my thumb is from today) THE GEMS ARE STILL ON!!

It was my first time visiting Japan and getting an authentic Japanese gel manicure was a must do on my to do list. I was graciously accommodated with a last minute same day booking at this inails Shinsaibashi location in Osaka. I had mistakenly booked an appointment for the following day. The facility is a hidden gem for a visiting tourist like me. Luckily the locals in this neighborhood are so kind and courteous. A very polite stranger went out of their way to help lead us to the exact location since the google maps location was incorrect.

My nail technician Misaki did not disappoint, she is an exceptional nail artist. Her gel painting and crafting put me into a zen like state as I observed her mastery and skill in decorating my nails with her original spring nail design.
