Pulled up at 11:25 to be 4th in queue/line. By the time the doors opened, we were amongst the first ones seated. I’d say the restaurant seats 16 people? There definitely was a line outside once all seats were filled.
Everybody that comes here knows the drill tho. Order (and order all at once cuz you won’t get another chance to order more), eat, pay (cash only) and get moving so the folks outside can get a chance.
Now let’s get down to the grub. Pretty straightforward on the menu. 4 plates of how you’d like your curry. I got mine with the pork katsu, my wife got curry with cheese. I ordered us 4 deep fried prawns and 1 raw egg for my plate.
Lemme tell y’all - the food was FIRE! The curry, so sweet at first but then it throws you a curveball of spice at the end. If you’re in Osaka, I say it’s mandatory you stop here for lunch at least once. If you don’t enjoy your meal, email me and I’ll reimburse you for your troubles (we paid less than 4,000 yen for 2 beers and all the food mentioned above). It’s a Miggy...
Read moreI found this restaurant through a well-known reviewer. I arrived at 11 a.m., even though the restaurant opens at 12. When I got there, many people were already in line. I recommend coming around 10:30 in the morning so you might get a seat in the first round.
I ended up waiting for more than two hours. A staff member will come out to ask what you want to order, and you must place your order at that time , no changes are allowed afterward . The food comes out pretty quickly. The curry has a sweet-first flavor with a mild kick of spice. The side dishes seem to be onions and radish The curry itself is really delicious and well-balanced. I like that bit of heat because it keeps the dish from feeling too heavy. But honestly, if I have to wait over two hours again, I’m not sure I’d come back. For the taste, I’d give it 5 stars. It’s incredibly delicious one of the best curries I’ve ever...
Read moreAmazing curry and definitely worth standing in line for! Do note they don't allow children so families need to keep that in mind!
I ordered the tonkatsu(breaded pork cutlet) curry with extra horenso(spinach). The curry has a nice consistincy and you can taste the sweetness, spices and then the final note it gets spicy. Truly unique flavor and so far for me the best curry I've had. It has a few pieces of stewed beef and wished there was a bit more. The tonkatsu is decent, not as good as the restaurants that specialize in it but the star of the show is the curry. Spinach gives a nice little texture to the meal. At the table there is ginger and pickles to refresh your palate. Definitely try the pickle, it matches very well with the meal.
After finishing my meal, I regretted not getting a bigger portion. If you have the appetite go for it and you...
